I don't see the rationale behind putting Zootopia into Future World in any way.

I remember some scenes with futuristic architecture. So it fits the surroundings of Future World as opposed to the settings found in DAK. That's all.

Zootopia wasn't designed with "City of the Future" in mind. The architecture is all about replicating the natural habitats all the different inhabitants would have called home. Like the giant Desert hotel/casino is a giant palm tree or those buildings meant to evoke the shapes of blades of grass and plantlife.

Would really like to see Dinoland turn into South America, or even 'The Americas'. It would be the best fit to flow with the park. It could be three mini-lands: A North America dinosaur-area which would include a theme update to Dinosaur and Restaurantsaurus, a Brazil-like 'pavilion' in lieu of Epcot with a full-service Brazillian steakhouse, and a Paradise Falls (Up IP) area with meet and greets, a ride and trails.
I feel like Pandora killed the idea of South America in addition to Beastly Kingdom. There's just too much overlap between the Amazon rainforest and the Pandoran jungle.

With Pandora just being finished and all the other additions underway/announced for DHS and Epcot, I'd be amazed if DAK got anything else in the next decade.

But it's already been hinted at that they will see something new at AK. Not that it's coming in the next couple of years but clearly something's percolating (and plans can change). I know it may shock some but they seem to actually be investing again. Not exactly everything we want invested in but they are. And it proves they can do more than one or two projects at a time ...

We're talking about it because we've been told by two insiders that something is going to happen, at some point in the future. This is likely years and years away.

Someone said this before on another thread, but the only way I would tolerate Zootopia fitting into DAK is if you take the train (update to Harry Potter train-like ride system?) and the area replaces Rafiki's Planet Watch as a secluded area.
Not calling you out specifically, but as this thread progresses, I know Planet Watch seems like prime real estate back there, but there's quite a bit of expensive infrastructure for animal care in and around that building.
