Pardon the sin of skimming, but did anyone mention what was going in the 3rd tent? I'd assume merchandise or a meet and greet (though I'm aware the side-show is in one of the larger ones).

Also, the mine coaster looks great! The foundation looks to be near finished, and I like how much area it's taking up already, should block the view of TLM like it's planned to do!

Blue tent is merchandise, red tent is the M&G, and the third tent which is yellow in the model may be a food service location.

Meh. A bunch of b tickets IMO. TLM isn't even a dark ride and 7DMT has no story. Glorified Primeval Whirl. TDO is clueless.

i just noticed something. Winnie the pooh and mad tea cups are going to be a part of the fantasy forest. I thought that the walls were going to be around the new area but there around the right side of fantasyland. I may have been the only one not to notice.

Won't be necessary.. All heavy lifts are complete for the FLE, and the onsite cranes are scheduled to depart soon... A lot of the outward aspects of the Seven Dwarves Mine Train are expected to be presentation ready this fall.. In other words, the bulk of the work will be inside the structure. HVAC is supposed to be completely installed in the show building by mid august...

They're really going to need to pick up the pace if they want the exterior mostly done by this fall.

How is TLM not a dark ride?

7DMT story is going to the mines with them, not related to Primeval Whirl in a any sense. Other than you sit down

I think he was being sarcastic. There was a discussion in another thread who insisted that LM is not a "dark ride" because of the way it was lit.

I posted this on the other thread but have also added it here to see if any one has any thoughts:

(Click on the picture for full size. Kudos on that feature, Steve; great touch!)

Many thanks, Scott! Your updates are always great.

EDIT: After looking at the higher res shots of the Belle/Beast area, there seem to be a number of paths/possible doorways in and out of the rock work (of course, it could just be the shadows playing tricks on me). I've highlighted them with red, yellow, and pink arrows, and also drew in where the waterfall is located. One of them must be the exit for the Belle meet n greet, but that still leaves two other possible areas. Anyone have any insights on these paths and where they may lead to/from?

Can't help you with the pink arrow, but the red and yellow arrows are the exits for the two main M&G rooms.

I am surprised by this since they haven't even started installing the track yet. I would think that would require some good sized cranes.

The only real heavy lifting type construction is the mountain, most of the track is at ground level. This diagram is the structural steel for the mountain

I colored in red the parts that still have to go up, everything else went together in the last 2 months

I seems to me that they could finish off the mountain and get the track on top of it in 2 months from now if that's the rumor going around

Cool drawing, can't believe nobody stumbled across these earlier! Yeah, I would agree that 2 more months sounds reasonable to get the major steel done.

It really is a forest! Are the evergreens near beast real?

I thought I had a good idea of the scale of this project but I may have underestimated it. WOW!

And if they ever decide to reroute the parade it looks like they have left themselves the room to do so. I love that kind of forward thinking.

Looks great! I notice that the location of the small tent in the courtyard between the 3 big tents and the train station is now a planter with a large tree. I assume that that tent was scrapped?
I noticed the missing "tent" as well. When I was looking at concept art and photos a few weeks ago, I didn't expect a tent per se, but a shelter type cover with open sides that mimicked the design of the tents. It looked like landscaping would be around the outside of it in place of walls. Now with that huge tree in the middle, it does look like the shelter was scrapped. I like the brick look they're working on. I'm presuming this will be seating for the food service from the yellow tent...can't remember if that is general consensus on this spot from past discussions.

In the first super hires shot that Scott posted in the other aerial thread, you can see a little blue tent structure on the far right edge of the shot, next to the construction trailer at the bend in the road. Did someone in management like the little tent and wanted it to shade their car? And decided to stick a tree in its place and hope no one would notice? (Disclaimer: that tent may have always been there, I have just never seen it before)

Hah, I do see that. That's probably a construction trailer next to it and maybe a GC has a pop up tent that travels to different jobs to provide some shade. Not a bad idea actually (until a wind storm comes through, but hey).

Correct. Going back through the Fantasyland aerial pictures, it was not there on June 14 2010 (it's just inside the construction area below the bus loop), but had made it to that spot by July 9 2010.
