Carsland - World Grand Prix

The main attraction is a super speed test track/dark ride hybrid housed inside of Buckingham Palace. Guests will fly First Class to Tokyo and will hit the ground racing through famous world class cities that feature breathtaking backdrops and views of iconic landmarks.

As the ride commences, guests will attend Tow Mater's Knighting Ceremony, where they will witness him being knighted by the Queen of England. Guests are then free to wander throughout the gift shop and explore the gorgeous palace grounds -- blooming with thousands of colorful tulips, roses, lots of trees, and water fountains.

I really like the creativity here, and props for being your first competition! A palace would definitely work better in the lighthearted Fantasyland than a Mansion with ghosts. I wish you would have somehow mentioned the Haunted Mansion as that's what the prompt was about, but still it was a solid proposal. And again, thanks for joining as we're going to have a blast!

@Magic Feather presents... Gracey Estates
Gracey Estate is the new mini-land that encompasses The Haunted Mansion, and the brand new "Master Gracey's Swinging Wake". The fence that used to separate the Haunted Mansion from Fantasyland has now grown out, all the way to Dumbo, and inside, a multitude of fenced of graves lie all around, surrounding Ghoulish Delights, a snack cart, the new stone Haunted Mansion Entrance, and the gardener's shack that leads to "Master Gracey's Swinging Wake". View attachment 175481 Using the small plot of land between Critter Country and the Haunted Mansion, guests will enter through a haunted greenhouse, and through the servants entrance into the mansion, where you will travel down corridors to the parlor(s there are really two, so that as one loads, the other can be in the show building.). Here, guests will board a Haunted Easy chair,View attachment 175482 before they magically wind through a corridor into a massive ballroom, using LPS, trackless technology, where they can dance with other carts, and wander the ballroom to trigger effects such as the organ blowing steam. Similar yo the Heffalump scene in Hunny Hunt, other dancing ghosts dance atop their own LPS bases as they glide around you, allowing for a magnificent experience, and addition to Gracey Estates.

At Halloween and Christmas, the ballroom is decked out for a Halloween or Christmas Gala.
I really enjoyed how you expanded on the mansion's story, albeit not as good as Phantom Manor, it's still a classic. The greenhouse was smart, not only would sightlines not be an issue that way, but Tokyo gets cold so that would be effective in combatting that. My only critique is I wish you would have said the scale of the attraction so I could get a slightly better picture, but other than that is was great.

Gracey's Gardens

When the wealthy Master Gracey's wife died, he refused to accept it and traveled the world studying the paranormal and collecting artifacts in an attempt to bring her back.

Decades later, his mansion is now a rest home of sorts for 999 happy haunts and can be visited by the many guests here at Tokyo Disneyland.

Now, more of the Gracey property is available to visitors than ever before as the gates to the courtyard on the side of the house (with a lovely fountain in the center) are open, replacing the Wonderland Maze.

Through the courtyard, guests can access and walk through The Garden of Paranormal Wonders (similar to the garden of wonders in Hong kong, but more paranormal themed and interactive) to see the artifacts collected by Master Gracey, learn the sad tale of Master Gracey and his mansion, and visit the Garden Party to eat light snacks and tea while listening to classy live (well, dead) music from many eras.

Lastly, enter the side mansion entrance to enter the ballroom (a show building hidden behind the mansion) and board your Haunted Ballroom Buggy to dance along with (pepper's) ghosts inspired by the hauntingly beautiful dancing ghosts in the iconic dining room scene (the ride itself would be a spinner like the teacups, but the cars spin slower and bounce).
K09Jvqo.jpg

For Halloween, the garden's will host a "party" in the Garden Party area with a live (well dead) show hosted by the one and only Pumpkin King, Jack Skeleton, a meet and greet with Dr. Facilier, and trick or treat trails in the gardens themselves.

For Christmas, the gardens are rethemed to tell the tale of the three most famous Christmas ghosts and the Christmas Eve they spent with Ebenezer Scrooge (So, a Christmas Carol from the ghost's perspective).
Thanks for including blueprints. It speaks a thousand words! Now, this really does seem like a mini-land. Great job on expanding the land. I like how although you used a very similar ride system to teacups, you made a point to make it different, and it will obviously be much better themed. So I guess this will kind of be like tour the Haunted Mansion? Interesting twist if you meant that. Also nice holiday overlays. Well done!

The Happy Haunting Grounds
haunted-mansion-00.jpg
Welcome foolish mortals to the new mini land centered around the beloved attraction, The Haunted Mansion, but this new expansion features 2 new eateries, a snack option, 2 new forms of entertainment, a gift shop, and several new details all centered around the story and characters of this ride.

As guests wander into this land, the Haunted Mansion stands proudly as the central focal point, but tombstone lined paths (with humorous epitaphs relating to the current residents of the old mansion) to either side of the mansion beckons guests to venture further, and should you need to rest your weary bones, please sit on some of the comfortable benches found along the way, but beware, you may hear restless spirits inviting you to stay (as a ghost of course).

The left path will lead first to Madame Leota's gypsy wagon, but this time (instead of a merchandise cart), this is a full-scale replica where guests may wander in and experience the interactive features of the spooky dwelling and find clues of Leota's journey to the mansion, but guests who follow the path further will run into the Sea Captain's Shanty, a quick service eatery dedicated to legend of the sailor "lost" at sea.

The right path will take guests past the ice cream snack cart, There's Always Room For One More...I-Scream, before stumbling onto the Caretaker's Shack where if you catch him on his break, he will regale you with stories of the ghosts of the haunted mansion residents, and he has many different stories so guests will need to return many times to hear them all (while his dog whimpers in his dog house).

At the end of the path is Gracey's Grand Ballroom, a sit down restaurant designed as a replica of the ballroom scene, complete with ghostly footsteps on the ceiling, dueling portraits, spirited dancers, and organist playing an endless, haunting refrain, and after a hearty meal, guests can wander through The Museum of the Weird, a gift shop showcasing the interactive, haunted items of the supernatural while selling Haunted Mansion related merchandise.

For Halloween, this land seems to be continually covered in mist, and strange eerie noises (like a werewolf howling) echoes from the woods, and don't be surprised if you catch a glimpse of the headless horseman (just hang on to your head.)

During this spirited season, the ghosts from the Haunted Mansion will roam the land at night, interacting with guests and telling their stories (both humorous and chilling), but don't get too chummy with these spooks, because they are always searching for the 1,000th ghost.
I like the format you used and that you tied it in with the theme. This land kind of reminds me of Mystic Point, with one headliner attraction. I really liked Gracey's Grand Ballroom, great job with that!

Hunting Cottage
Issues with hunting are when the spirits leave the body in a cursed land they are stuck there forever, increasing the happy family of 999 to way beyond. To fit snugly thematically this land will be rustic western with the original flair of the Haunted Mansion. In the current location of the maze will be a walkthrough of an underground graveyard (similar to the scene in the phantom manor) though instead of human remains it is those of animals. You are greeted by a decayed man pointing his rifle at a decayed bear who he never got the chance to shoot. The walkthrough will contain a narration on the sad and true hobby of hunting and the majestic feasts that were held at the haunted mansion.

Holiday overlay : Since it is western themed Thanksgiving is a must. In the walkthrough, turkey squeals will be heard as well as the decayed man has a pilgrim hat. As well as the decayed bear is replaced by a decayed turkey.
Very creative expansion, I feel like this could work very well. The nod to Phantom Manor is something this land could use. Though I don't think the narration of hunting would go over very well with many people. I like the Thanksgiving overlay, the feast was a great idea, and so was the decaying Turkey. Well done!

Prompt 6 - Classics Never Die
On to the place, where the magic began:D
Monorail,_PeopleMover_and_Submarines,_Disneyland,_1979.jpg

Disneyland, from the castle to the rides is so iconic and was the only Disney park Walt got to see. Some classics remain, while other have been written into history. As armchair-Imagineers, it is up to you how you will dream up a new iteration of any classic Disneyland attraction. Your "elevator pitch" will be to bring back one classic Disneyland Park attraction and make it completely different for the current generation. As an example, You could bring back The Country Bear Jamboree, but the attraction would have to change to let's say an LPS attraction, and so would the location.

MAP: https://disneyland.disney.go.com/au/maps/
Here is a great list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_former_Disneyland_attractions

Your pitch can be about anything for a new iteration of an Extinct Disneyland Attraction, but here are some guidelines:

1 - It must be from Disneyland Park.
2 - It will help if the original concept could be themed to a holiday overlay in the future - not a requirement...but it would give you an edge!
3 - It must keep the theme, and change exact locations (it can still go in the same land).
4 - This is for present day.

Like last round, you can include 1-5 sentences in your description of the ride, two additional sentences for the holiday overlay and you can include up to 2 images. If you have a question? Feel free to ask!

You have until 7:30pm EST Sunday, November 20th.

Thank you and good luck fellow Imagineers!

Adventure Thru Inner Space with Ant-Man

Return to Tomorrowland and take a guided tour of Pym Technologies with founder Hank Pym and his associate Scott Lang as you volunteer to be test subjects in a new experiment of Pym's shrinking technology. In the preshow, Hank explains the history behind the discovery of the Pym Particle and how it is being used to further scientific research and invention. Then Scott is your "wingman" as you board a LPM vehicle and set off on your adventure. Of course, something goes horribly wrong along the way as your test vehicle drops to a sub-atomic size and Ant-Man comes to your rescue, returning you to your original size and back to the visitor center no worse for the wear. Hi-definition curved screen technology combined with unique ride vehicles that move in six directions (left-right, forward-reverse and up-down) create a thrill ride like nothing ever seen at Disneyland.

Peoplemover through Progress City

The Peoplemover will make its triumphant return, but now, instead of a tour through Tomorrowland, it will be a dark ride style tour of Progress City!
4562298-7823376-thumbnail.jpg
A mix of the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow Walt envisioned and the optimistic future seen in Horizons, Progress City promises to be a sight to see and a great fit for Disneyland's Tomorrowland.
191vae5uciz4jjpg.jpg
Many show scenes will be adapted straight out of the future section of Horizons, thus reviving that classic attraction in addition to reviving the people mover.

The family from Horizons is the same as from Carousal of progress, so it will help fill the void left from Disneyland's carousel of Progress leaving too.

During the faster parts of the Peoplemover ride, the decorations will be mostly environmental and simple (just city buildings or futuristic farms) with the main show scenes coming in when the ride is moving slower.

Progress City will of course be decorated for the holidays just like any city is.

Perhaps around Thanksgiving and Christmas, you might even catch a glimpse of the patriarch of the Progress Family accidentally burning the family's dinner in their new voice activated oven.
