Hi Everyone,

We are heading to WDW in November 2016 for 3 weeks staying at Caribbean Beach Resort to celebrate being newlyweds

We are loving planning our honeymoon however have a few questions that we cant seem to find the answers to, can you help?

1 - We are hiring a car, as we are staying at WDW can we park at any resort free of charge?
2 - Does anyone know how much the toll roads cost from orlando international airport to WDW and do you have to give the correct change?
3-We would really like to go on a boat to MK entrance for our first visit, can we park the car in another resort and catch the boat to MK, if so which resort would be best?

We really appreciate you reading this post and hope you can help us.
Look forward to hearing from you,
Have a magical day!

1. Hiring a driver or getting a rental car? Sounds like rental car to me, please advise. If rental car, you'll need advice other than mine on that.
2. Never dealt with the tolls, so hopefully you get some help there.
3. If you have a rental car, you can park in the MK parking lot, and take the Ferry from the TTC over to the Magic Kingdom. That would be the easiest thing to do.

You can only park at your "home" resort (i.e.: Caribbean Beach).

You'll want to take the bus or drive from your hotel to the Ticket & Transportation Center, where you can catch the ferry across the Seven Seas Lagoon to MK.

Congratulations!

Congrats!!
1. You may park FREE in any area of WDW as a guest of CBR. We did resort hopping, as well as had ADRs at a few different resorts, you are not charged!
Rental cars are quite inexpensive at MCO. We arranged ours through SWA and only paid $120 for a week! Well worth it, we were able to stop at Walmart and get a case of H2O for our room. If you have one (or can borrow one) bring your gps. Lifesaver!
2. The tolls were around $2.20 I think, and you need EXACT change. We brought a roll of quarters with us.
3. With your rental car, the only park you don't park and either walk or tram to the park entrance is MK. From the parking lot, you either walk or tram to TTC. From there you may either monorail or ferry to MK. You will love the ferry ride... It's a beautiful way to see MK for the first time.
You are going to love CBR, it's our favorite resort, so quiet and peaceful, and romantic!

Welcome to WDWMAGIC!

Get auto toll payments included with your rental car. It makes it much easier and less stressful, and you can drive wherever you want without worrying about it.

Are you aware that the "auto" toll payments add anywhere form $3.95 - $15.00 per day to the cost of the rental?!? Yikes!
Far better to bring one roll of quarters that will last both directions!

The original poster is from the UK, and it is not particularly easy to get a roll of quarters.

For the sake of $5 per day, auto toll payments mean they don't have to worry about trying to get sufficient numbers of quarters, or find themselves at a toll booth without an attendant that requires exact change - only to find they have no way to pay the toll.

When in a foreign country, driving on the other side of the road, using an unfamiliar currency - sometimes an extra cost to elevate some of the hassles is worth its weight in gold.

If you are from the USA, and have ample access to quarters, then sure, maybe auto-tolls isn't the best option, but for some, it really is.

silly question, but why the car? if you are not from US, why worry about it . I get it you are here for 3 weeks, but unless you are planning road trips outside of WDW it may not be worth it. If you need to do a local trip say to the store for food, grab an UBER. It'll be cheaper in the long run then paying for a car to sit in the parking lot all day. And if you do need a road trip, I believe you can rent a car for the day right at your resort.
