1. Go to www.instagram.com and locate the photo that you wish to embed.

2. Copy the web page address for the image to be embedded.

3. In your post here on the forum, click the 'Media' button on the editor toolbar.

I was just giving this a try and am having issues. I feel it's on Instagram's side though, as the feature in your site seems to be working as expected.
Anytime I try and get the link to the picture on Instagram (through the iPhone app, Chrome on iPhone, and also Chrome on my Chromebook), I can find the picture link, but if I try and use that URL, it comes up and says the URL does not exist.
I don't know if Instagram is somehow giving up bum URLs, or if it's a setting in my profile, or maybe I just have to try from my Windows computer.

Edit: Here's a try. The only way I've been able to get anything at all to work was to "View Source" on the photo page on Instagram, find the URL, and then use it, but the broken image icon still shows up on here (clicking on the image link does work for me)

Can you post the link to the Instagram page with an image you are trying to embed.

Sure I just grabbed one of mine at random to test it out.

Edit, looks like it's auto grabbing the type and making it a media object. Let me try
Code:

Hmmm not sure why it is not working. What is your username on Instagram?

Struggling with this lately. The link for the instagram photo I want to use is https://www.instagram.com/p/BAaZt_Ajtc1/?taken-by=officialtom

I thought maybe the issue was the "s" after "http" so I tried taking that out, but no luck. I also tried deleting everything after the last forward slash, and also replacing it with "?modal=true" as it shows in the example above. My account isn't private.

Any ideas @wdwmagic ?? I keep getting an error saying the URL cannot be embedded as media.

Go into the source code and find the JPG it refers to and embed that.

Thanks for reporting that, should be fixed now.
