Disney needs IT+
Yes everyone on another Disney place I frequent is complaining they can’t pay their dues
I am beyond ticked off. You can’t call because they don’t have enough people and it’s either busy or a 3 hour+ wait. You can’t use the website because it is powered by a Packard Bell 486 with a 2400 baud modem. It is beyond terrible.

It's endemic of Disney IT in general - My wife just did a general WDW room search, and she received this:

Maybe they should stop laying off the IT department when they finish one task.. Seems they always let go of people and the ones that make the wheels turn. lol

So - time to understand that there IS no Disney IT. Perhaps we should ask them to create one?
No can do. That costs money, money they don't have. We're in a pandemic, don't you know? Times are tough for Disney.
I have a theory for all of these IT-related problems. It's not a pleasant one. It rhymes with "cheap".

Anybody having trouble with the DVC site yesterday and today? It’s intermittent, but I keep getting “down for maintenance” which is annoying.

Side note: This digital card thing is utterly stupid. Not intuitive at all, and takes more time (at least for us) than getting out our blue card, which is always close at hand when we have visited the parks in the past.
I'd rather have a physical blue card too. Hate it that DVC cards went digital. It's just another Disney cost-cutting measure, imo.
The reply I received is that too many former members still had their blue cards, and illegally received discounts. The first answer was to have expiration dates, but there were still thousands of former owners cheating them. So now virtual and when you sell, it is immediately invalidated. Jerks like this are why we can’t have nice things.
