The interview with Bill said they're doing work for the cruise line and D23, so yes they are still working with Disney, just not Disneyland.

"In just 15 minutes, the all you can eat buffet! Will be open. Join Mickey Mouse while we gorge ourselves while our cooks conjure up spectacular foods for all to enjoy"

I never said they were retiring from work altogether.
Just strange to use the term "retired" at all in this scenario. Unless they both agreed to voluntarily step back from it since it was too demanding or something.

It just appears to me that they are being replaced.

Exactly. It’s very clear it was not their decision. They are not retiring.

They’re no longer doing the job. Forced retirement is a thing. It is still a form of retirement, as they will no longer be doing the job.
