Only because they bought up the competition.
So lets see where the major companies Disney acquired were on the list the year they got bought:

Pixar acquired 2006, Not Ranked
Marvel acquired 2009, Not Ranked
Lucas Films acquired 2012, Not Ranked
21st Century acquired 2019, 8th in the entertainment industry (basically at the bottom) and never cracked the top 100 overall.

And yet Disney has ranked in the top 100 overall for almost as long as the list has been in existence.

So yeah buying up the "competition" really helped them.....

I forgot to mention that the list really only has a ranking for the top 50. After that, the 300-some other companies are just listed alphabetically. The ranking past 50 is meaningless except that they didn't make the top 50.
