Big changes coming to Annual Passes

Some pretty big changes are on the way to Walt Disney World Annual Passes.

Disney introduces tiered Annual Pass ticket program with new benefits and pricing structure

Tables in Wonderland dining discount program price increase begins today

Parking fees at Walt Disney World theme park increase effective October 4

Believe it or not, Disney partnered with the governments to lessen the amount of days in an overall calendar year, but are keeping it the same price. Gotta give it to them, didn't see that coming.

Oddly enough, they're bypassing Floridians and investing a majority of their money in a huge marketing push for the Iowan Pass, soon to be referred to as the 'I Win Pass'. Clever campaign.

Maybe they'll expand the monthly payment plan that currently exists just for Floridians. Sorry...it wouldn't be a message board if we didn't have any unsubstantiated guessing. HAHA

Saw a tweet by WDW News that said they are eliminating the seasonal, regular, and premium passes. Changing to silver, gold, and platinum (similar to previous names respectively). Supposedly gold and platinum will include photo pass.

I'm not sure of all the details but from what I've heard they are ditching a lot of their social media themes and going 'grassroots' or as they are calling it 'Marceline Magic'. Focusing on driving domestic guests. Iowans are a test subject as they are known as the 'first in the nation' for politics so testing marketing I guess seemed like an easy fit. Can't make this stuff up.

I'm no marketing expert but maybe Dinoland can be themed for a seasonal event based off the Iowa State Fair? Defried butter sticks might not get the Disney Healthy Check, though.

agree, wondering same thing, we just renewed a seasonal pass last week and now wondering if it was a mistake. granted its the monthly payment program thing so guess were good on that for a year, but I bet they drop discounts.
