Hercules and Lilo and Stitch. Absolutely love both
Atlantis is my top pick, although that might just be my nostalgia factor kicking in. It's a little uneven, but had great voice performances and characters and the score is lovely, and I'm a fan of the non-traditional Disney animation (I also love Hellboy though, so that could be a contributor). Lilo and Stitch, Mulan, Hunchback, and Treasure Planet are also severely under-rated.
Atlantis is great. Especially when you realize that Joss Whedon worked on it, and the whole thing is kind of like a proto-Firefly. Nerdy guy, mysterious girl, tomboy girl mechanic, weapons-obsessed merc who's secretly got a soft side, etc.
Very good movie indeed!
The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes or The Barefoot Executive,
A goofy movie and Heavyweights
Actually the animation style is what I dislike most about Hercules.
Never even thought about it that way, and I'm a huge Firefly fan. I always forget Joss worked on this movie.
Well, it's not something he touts on his resume. It's usually, "Toy Story, Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Serenity, Avengers"
And my other favorite moment....
For live action, most underrated is Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken. Love that movie!
Animated: Emperor's New Groove and Hercules are probably my top two. Also Oliver & Company. Honorable mention: Atlantis (Joss can do no wrong!)
My husband's pick is The Black Cauldron, hands down.
Fox and the Hound
Both Goofy Movies, Hercules, Great Mouse Detective, both of the Rescuer movies, Oliver in Company
HAHA. Well- I guess I really mean the Greek setting/motif more than anything. The animation style itself is "ok" for me- but nothing spectacular.
Treasure Planet may be the best Disney movie of all time, and I've never seen a hint of it in the parks.
Watcher in the woods
Another vote for Princess & The Frog
I may be biased but, Brave. It baffles me how many Disney "fans" have never even seen it.
