With the Price Increases and Cuts, Are you Delaying your Visit?

I've been reading your comments for awhile now and they never fail to make me laugh, while also being incredibly insightful. I'm with you, I cannot comprehend how a theme park that hasn't changed in 15+ years can still be getting the attendance that it does. Then I realize, children don't know...

Avatar Land...think Disney regrets the idea?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Universal does not make entire parks based off of one IP, so I don't think Volcano Bay would ever have been based off an IP. However, Volcano Bay will probably have IP themed lands inside it. And I wanted to agree with earlier posters, it really doesn't matter if...

With the Price Increases and Cuts, Are you Delaying your Visit?

Nice! Its called Hotel Moderne. Its pretty plain, but has decent reviews and is only two train stops way from Les Halles (if I am reading the map right)

With the Price Increases and Cuts, Are you Delaying your Visit?

And I don't speak French, are you asking me if I am staying in Paris? For a couple days yes, but I am thinking of heading out into the countryside. I am a big Wino (worked at a wine shop for years) so I really want to go to Burgundy/Bordeaux.

Traditions that you no longer can do

I can no longer afford to go to Disney World. So that tradition is out the window.

With the Price Increases and Cuts, Are you Delaying your Visit?

I just got $400 round trip tickets to Paris with a stopover in Iceland! Hotels about $30-$40 a night. With the US dollar so strong traveling the world has never been so affordable. (And Disney less affordable)

With the Price Increases and Cuts, Are you Delaying your Visit?

After Star Wars, Toy Story, and Avatar lands are all built I might consider going, but even now I could go to Asia for a similar price as a Disney World Vacation. And by the time all of those land are built (and ticket prices are raised) I could probably spend weeks in Europe for the same price...

Rumor - Possible ticket price increases coming this Sunday (2/28)

Actually I would still argue that Universal has done more in a year, I never changed my argument. And I'm not wrong, although I can see how in some ways its a matter of opinion. If people think that half baked attractions, dance parties, refurbishments of old rides, or shows to cover up the...

Rumor - Possible ticket price increases coming this Sunday (2/28)

It was actually DHS on my last trip that finally made me realize how terrible WDW has become. South of Echo Lake is deserted, full of terrible outdated attractions, and when I went Sunset Boulevard was covered in teenagers and gymnastics teams doing their routines in the streets, so I didn't...

    Hello Kitty Opened

If you have an American Express credit card and spend more than $50 in one store, you save 10% (although I think you have to have also bought your admissions ticket with the card and request the discount at the counter). I know I will be spending more than $50 in here

Rumor - Possible ticket price increases coming this Sunday (2/28)

HS being half closed, Yeti broken, Mine Train half of what its suppose to be are all facts, not opinions. Sure yes, the American Idol experience being boring is just my opinion and slapping a coat of paint on Test Track/Star Tours might impress some people, but for a company that is making 2+...

    What Ride Would You Save?

It's not exactly a ride, but I had REALLY fond memories of DisneyQuest as a kid. I loved running around basically a huge, advanced arcade. The roller coaster maker was amazing. And my parents loved it since they would just drop my brother and I off for a couple hours and they would go explore...

Rumor - Possible ticket price increases coming this Sunday (2/28)

Toy Story Midway Mania - Have fun getting a reservation. And in the middle of a half destroyed park not worth the admission Disney charges. Everest - Fun but broken. New Fantasyland - Ariel ride is nothing interesting. Mine Train is not worth the wait times and was suppose to be bigger and...

Rumor - Possible ticket price increases coming this Sunday (2/28)

Disney's marketing is genius. Convince everyone Disney World is the most magical place on earth, and then spend nearly 2 decades doing nothing but cutting attractions, employees, and services while raising prices year after year. If I did as little for my customers as Disney World did I would...

If you could ask an Imagineer anything...

So, when are you scheduled to be replaced by an H1B Visa to save Disney World even more money?

Cuts coming to every area of parks and resorts - thanks to Shanghai and Paris

This makes me more sad for the employees than park goers. If Disney wants to continue being 'magical', which died almost a decade ago but roll with me, they have to provide above average customer service. Something Disney was noted for in the past. With the cuts/wages, I don't see why motivated...

How is WDW not what it used to be?

While WDW has definitely declined over the past couple years (Epcot and Hollywood Studios), its mostly just that nothing has substantively improved or changed for 15+ years now, while its competitors have kept up with the time. It seems ridiculous that for over a decade, Disney has either been...

Surge Pricing Holding Up (Semi) Annual Increase ...

This, this, so much this. My parents took me when I was a kid the year that Animal Kingdom opened, as well as for the 25th anniversary, back when Disney actually cared about their parks/guests. I always expected to take my kids to Disney World when they were of age. Two years ago, my Mother and...

Cuts coming to every area of parks and resorts - thanks to Shanghai and Paris

I highly doubt the presidential elections have an impact in this decisions. No one even knows who will be the presidential candidates at this point. Although, Disney should probably prepare itself for minimum wage increases. But seeing as they fired their domestic IT teams for J1 Visas, I'm sure...

Nintendo partnering with Universal to make attractions.

With Disney's incessant cutting of staff/services/experiences etc. and lack of meaningful improvements in WDW for 15+ years now, if Universal builds an almost replica of Magic Kingdom (but Nintendo themed) in time for WDW 50th anniversary, I would love to see the obsessive mouse fans justify...
