I miss the other show already... :( That makes 1 out of three Dis...one out of three...that have been for the better...

Shoot.
One out of three for you. While mostly everyone dislikes Canada's new show and mostly everyone likes Italy's show this one seems to be split. This show can't be compared to Canada at all.

I not sure why one would not think they are "entertaining". When the group was first announced for Epcot people found videos of a concert they did at the Kennedy Center and people were up and dancing and enjoying themselves. I think not finding it "entertaining" is kind of in the eye of the beholder and most of us (and I include myself in this) just aren't familiar with watching a performance of this type of music as a concert; in that sense, IMHO it makes it all the more relevant of an act for WS by exposing guests to something that they aren't familiar with as a new way to experience a different culture.

Both this and the Italy flags are something that I wouldn't experience without seeing them at Epcot and that's a good thing.

I'd still like to the them get a replacement act for America for the Drum and Fife.

I'm venturing a guess that we all agree with the above......but, please, can't we get rid of any act that includes chainsaws!!

Touche...touche... seems to be my opinion then...The Lumberjack show looks like something from the county fair up north here...not too glamourous... The Flag show is good.

To me, this new Moroccan show just sounds like BGM... I feel like I could walk right past it (minus the pinkish kimono things those ladies are wearing) and it would blend in well...but...eh...I digress...

Opinions are what make this forum beautiful.

Not up my alley for sure. I would not even stop for maybe more than a minute or two. The Eastern forms of music are very different from what I am used to. I preferred Mo'Rockin' fusion stuff to kind of bridge the gap for me. This would not hold any appeal for me at all. I will say the flag performers in Italy looked very beautiful and I probably will stop in on my next trip to check it out in person, although I am interested from the video. I wouldn't make a special trip for it, but would stop to check it out in my travels. Marie

But from the video - entertaining is a bit of a stretch, That being said It is indeed interesting and WS does need more of this kind of show.

I found it painful, grating and the pitch actually hurt my ear and I am hearing impaired. I only watched half, it sounded exactly the same, did it get better?

I'm getting sick of hating on the new EPCOT costcuts, I mean entertainment. But come on people, you guys really liked this show? really????? and you can't say "you like the show and think it fits in well", and at the same time say "you wouldn't stay for more then a few minutes". If you wouldn't watch it all the way through, is it really the caliber of show that belongs in a Disney park?? I haven't seen the flag show in Italy yet, so maybe that will be the saving grace in this situation.

I always looked forward to Mo' Rockin. I've been to Morocco 3 times. While there, I enjoyed many of the traditional rhythms and street performances as well as the more contemporary music (although I don't understand a word). I have to say that I did not enjoy B'net Al Houwariyate. I couldn't even watch the entire video. I kept skipping ahead in case it got better. I hope its better in person.
That being said, it is probably better than nothing at all or the sound of chainsaws (as a Canadian all I have to say about that is :banghead: ).

Absolutely agree, This show IS true to the original spirit of EPCOT and in my mind at least is a WELCOME addition. What I'd really like is this show AND Mo'Rockin.

Disney cannot possibly afford to have both shows. Adding Mo'Rockin' back would cost something like $100,000 a year which means instead of $8 billion in stock buybacks this year they could only do $7,999,900,000 worth of buybacks.
