We are planning going starting November 12th. The last day of food and wine is the 13th this year so hoping Epcot will quiet down after. Have been a couple times this time of year and have enjoyed it.

Personally I would go Thursday or Friday, the parks are usually quieter on days of the party. You can probably get just as much done on these days without spending 14 hours in the park and fighting larger crowds. Go back on Saturday for Happily Ever After to end your trip with a bang!

The second half of August is not as busy as the first but its also not the slowest time of year. Free dining may have had an impact on crowd size but we still noticed a drop off the second half of August last year.
