Would you want to be a CM at WDW?

No it wouldn't if you are not working at a park. If you think about it you could be working a resort or do the transportion or work at Downtown Disney. I would love to work at WDW.

I was, and never again. I am enjoying working for the anti-disney now... and no, it's NOT universal

I love it. Disney is like any other company: you have your good days and your bad days. Unfortunately, Disney's employment is also put to a higher standard than others. Its a lot about perspective, and its not a career job (I'm seasonal), but its still nice to be part of the magic. :)

These are tough times to be in a low-wage job, but if you can swing it, WDW is a great place for...

a young person getting started
  • decent benefits for full-time workers
  • intrinsic benefits... park admissions, previews, etc.
  • Fortune 500 company experience... good on the resume
a senior, with a pension already coming in
  • good benefits for full-time workers
  • a chance to get out and see a lot of people
a technical or managerial person lucky enough to land a very-scarce role
  • competitive pay
  • work with many experienced, skilled people
  • all the challenges of an enterprise environment
