25 August part 1
I woke up at 6am so plenty of time to get ready. For me there is only 1 park you can do on your first day, so that's where I was headed this morning.
I made myself a coffee using one of these.
I bring my own travel mug and use the hot water from the dining area.
It beats Disney coffee, I also ate some breakfast bars while waiting for the bus.
After a short wait the bus came and I was off, I just couldn't stop smiling, not even the air conditioning unit leaking on me on the bus could wipe the smile from my face. It wasn't long before I saw this
It wasn't too busy yet so I had time to soak it all in and take some pictures.
But it wasn't long before the opening show started, not going to lie, I got a bit misty eyed.
Once the park was opened people were doing their mad dashes but I just strolled on Main Street saying Good Morning to the CMs and looking at the castle.
I don't have any traditional first ride but I like Buzz so decided to make that my first ride this time. Unfortunately my gun didn't turn properly so it wasn't as much fun. Better luck next time.
I continued on to
Pooh and friends were so cute, I shared a hunny pot with a mom and her two young kids and the kids were just so sweet, laughing the whole ride.
My Fastpass for 7DMT was valid so that was my next stop. At 9.15 in the morning the line was already over an hour! With my Fastpass I was in and out in under 15 min.
Seeing it is stinking hot and humid here in Florida I made sure to drink a lot. Well if you drink a lot you have to tinkle a lot, so my next stop was...
There is a hidden Red Nose Mickey in this shot, no price if you find him.
My next FP wasn't for another 30 min. so I decided to visit an old haunt. A miracle happened and I rode the whole ride without stopping once. The Mansion was in very good form, or maybe the ghosts were to hot to play tricks on us.
On my way to Never Never Land who do I see looking for pirates?
Peter was feeling the heat and was sweating profusely. I only hopped in line because it was so short. Less then 5 min. wait, not the best Peter but still cute.
I could now use my FP for Peter Pan so took a my flight. I like the part where you fly over London best
.
Philharmonic was next, I think that film is brilliant. Everything flows so well together, there were some kids in the audience that had never been and there reaction to the smells and water etc. was pretty hilarious.
After returning my opera glasses I was ready for a dip Under the Sea. Wait time posted said 15 min. but it was a walk on. Such a happy colourful ride, even though Ursala reminds me of my previous boss I still like it.
By now it was 11.30 and I was hungry, luckily I had a lunch reservation at BOG.
I had pre ordered which is the way to go. The line to get in is pretty long but moves quickly but that doesn't stop people from complaining, both the group in front of me and behind me just couldn't believe they had to wait in this long line even with a reservation blah, blah, blah. I felt like saying something but decided against it. Once inside you are split up, there is a short line for people that have pre ordered or a very long line for people that haven't. I paid for my food and found a wonderful table by the window in the ballroom.
I know from past experience that american food portions are way too big for me. I usually share food but as I am travelling by myself this trip that won't be an option. At BOG I ordered a kids grilled cheese and tomato soup and the Master's cupcake.
It was all very tasty but not very warm. I LOVED the grey stuff.
After lunch I had a look in the West Wing to see the rose pedal fall and the portrait change. I was very full from lunch and getting tired so decided to skip my last FP for SM and go back to the hotel to rest.
