Just got done washing clothes in my new HE washer. I actually watched them wash through the glass lid for a while....*what a geek I am*

Tammy and I have been working on the basement rec. room all day.
Hubby is a little irked. He hates when I go on these cleaning/re-organizing binges.
There is a small kitchenette down there. We threw out food dated back to when my mom lived with us.
Some Orville Redenbacher popcorn had expired in 2010. I would post pics, but it is still a humiliating mess!
Sadly I am waiting on Hubby to deal with his clothes. He doesn't have any time off until Wednesday; and even then it's only a half day. Then he has a tournament all weekend, so no full day off until the following Monday.
I'll do my best to muddle through without his help.

Based upon your comments, I've been wondering about the shelf life of popcorn.
My hunch is that your 2010 popcorn would have probably still popped open if you tried to cook it.Decided to go on a popcorn fact-finding expedition, and I found this from Popcorn County USA's web site:
What is the shelf life of popcorn kernels?
Popcorn has an indefinite shelf life as long as it is stored in ideal conditions.
Is your house ideal?
(Moot point now I guess--you already dumped the popcorn. We'll never know if it still popped; unless you'll be a sport, retrieve the box out of the trash bag, cook it, and let us know? !)

I played monopoly with the kids for 3 hours and had to suspend the game at 10. My daughter just woke me up to ask if we can continue. I believe my response may have involved a reportable word.
I did that when we got ours!!
