I just cant get over the attitude of the Male "diabled escort" or whatever they called him on the Jeff Rossen story this morning!!

Idiots like this are gonna ruin the Gac for those who REALLY need it. I hope they removed him from Disney parks Forever!! Make an example out of him!!

Its that old 5-10 percent rule...5% of the people in the world think the rules dont apply to them and that they dont have to play fair!!

These people are use to getting special treatment EVERYWHERE they go and cant understand that they have to wait like the rest of us poor slobs!!

I have another thought or two on this...

First, what are the odds these people are collecting Disability checks from the government or Paying taxes on the money they make doing this??
Gonna be funny to see how they handle that situation...Could be some serious Consequences for these two.

I know there are many people on Disability who really need it But these two are healthy enough to walk around Disney and get paid for doing it then they sure as hell can get a Job!!

Secondly ...Can you imagine if Disneys answer to this will be a V.I.P. ticket?? Some insane amount of money to cut lines all day??

On the Today show comments someone who seems to know the woman tour guide says she collects Disability.

Disney has a VIP Tour Guide you can hire already. Up to 10 people. Link

I actually don't have a problem with this. How many people are using this service? It's very expensive $315 and hour at the cheapest and you have to use it at least 6 hours.
Well. It isn't any of my business, but it's just another case of the "rich" taking advantage of a system in place for people who really need it. And now the system is in "danger" of being changed and/or "scrapped altogether due to this abuse.:(:eek:

IF they I would be truly saddened (and a bit angered). I was born physically handicapped, have only used a GAC once and am currently fighting to get on Disability (standing up in my prosthetic for 8 hours+ isn't always fun or easy) and yet I don't take advantage of anyone in that way.

People like those two make me sick as they make things harder for those of us that ARE disabled.

How are the rich taking advantage of the system? Disney is providing the VIP tour guides. If some rich family wants to pay upwards of $300 an hour to use a service Disney is providing it's part of the system.

The change may come to the GAC cards specifically designed for the handicapped. These folks are clearly abusing the system. I don't have a problem w/ the VIP system. More power to them! I'd use it if I had the $$$. Disney provides that service. This particular service is not provided by Disney. That's what I'm against.;):(

The VIP Tour Guide service that Disney provides has nothing to do with the GAC, or being disabled in any way.

As a person with an elderly mother who uses a scooter to get around, we always stand in line. We wait in line like others, or we get our fast passes like anyone else. I've never considered getting a GAC card. The CMs asked if we'd like one, and Mom said "No thank you". The CMs proceeded to lead my Mom to an area where she could board the ride faster. It pays to be nice, and be honest!.;)
