Never saw any of these. Mainly because when I say I never saw them, people freak out, and my expectations far exceed anything they could possibly live up to.

See them anyway, especially if a local theatre shows them for a special event. But if not, use a block of time (like a snowy day or a couple of evenings -- for Gone with the Wind, which has an intermission) and really give them a chance. And remember that, even though they have great cinematography and some action, they are both well-written character studies with some nuance and complexity, from a period when people recognized that as much as great cinematography or special effects. So, some parts will be slow by some of today's standards, but are meant for character and story development.
