In what I hope to be a series and collection of interwoven "Club" threads really diving into all aspects of armchair imagineering, The Creative Writing Club is the next step...
As we started out with the Physics Club - which is going to be a very neat and collaborative ongoing science thread, talking about the designs of attractions and the physics behind it all - the design is only one piece of the larger puzzle.
You need a story to that design. And a story that you as the guests are immersed in.
For this thread - let's try and delve into what makes a great story. What aspects of Disney storytelling do we enjoy. It could be from films, TV shows - discussing character dynamics, pros, cons, really anything about the context of "story" and creative writing.
And as we are doing that - perhaps we can all grow as story-tellers. Learn from each other, bounce concepts off of each other, and hopefully make all of us better creative writers as a result, which we can use not only in competitions, or open brainstorming project threads, but out in the real world as well.
I'll start with this -- what is one of your favorite Disney "stories" - it can be an attraction, resort, film, anything - and what about it make it stand out to you?
