It is a good book. Jim Korkis his written a lot of Disney history books. Many are compilations of short essays that make for quick reads. Unfortunately, they aren't in my public library system but I buy them through Amazon and they aren't that expensive. I got 2 of his books for Christmas.

By the way, Hubby is feeling better today. He only got hives at work, probably because of all the exertion.

Yum! Ever since I went to France, I have discovered how tasty duck is. I order it in restaurants but I'm a little too nervous to make it at home. I might give it a whirl sometime.

Are you having a mini-vacay? A little jealous, as hubs and I were supposed to spend a night in downtown Chicago but had to come home since he was sick. I only got to go downtown with the in-laws. We like staying at the Palmer House. Where do you typically stay?

I have wanted to do the zoo lights for a couple years. Maybe next year.

Skeeters!?! Maybe that it a plus one for cold and snow, none of those pesky pests!

If somehow they would create a spray like OFF to keep snow off your person or property then I would agree. It just made me realize that I have lived here in No. Carolina now for almost 6 years and have yet to see a mosquito.

We went into the Eataly store/restaurant/wine/produce/butcher/pastry etc store today. While some of it was beyond expensive, cheaper than my local supermarkets for quality produce. Many small sub restaurants and small plate bars, pizza stations even a Nutella Bar. 2 stories. Room after room but in a loft style.

Me of course was more impressed with their corkscrews which I could never justify purchasing.

We did Brookfield Zoolights last year and this year we did Lincoln Parks. Both very different. Brookfield's are more elaborate and the music is awesome. Lincoln Park lights are a bit more compact about 1.5 hours and less animals available (need to go inside and warm up.) Lincoln Park is about a $7 Uber ride from the Mag Mile and the Zoo Lights like the Zoo is always Free. Brookfield is pretty pricy for parking and Zoo Lights but awesome fun.

Only a couple blocks off the Mag Mile. 43 E. Ohio (suitcase on map) Reference, the Disney Store is about 4 blocks from Ohio Street and then maybe two more down Ohio, very walkable. We found it coming out of the 5 story Crate & Barrel.
