I agree - the living statue in Epcot is fantastic - VERY funny! Before they moved to Italy, we were having dinner at the 3 Chefs in France and we were seated at a window right behind the statue, so we got to watch (from behind, but still funny) all during dinner.

I haven't seen the talking trash can at AK, but I did see one in the Innoventions breezeway at Epcot. The guy controlling the trash can would stalk small children, then when they turned around, he would say, "Hi! My name's PUSH. What's your name?" It cracked me up! I'll look closely for "Push" when I'm at Rafiki's Planet Watch/Conservation Station. We'll be there Oct 9-16. I was just there May 9-15 and I can't wait to go back! When will you and your family be there in Oct?

We'll be there October 1st through the 9th. Just before you. We had a ball with the trashcan at Rafiki's. It refused to leave my son alone until he kissed it. When he did, the can says, ewwwww, you don't know where I've been. We have pictures of him kissing the can. People ask why he was doing that because they don't know about the talking can and we just say because he's weird. LOL

I saw Wes Palm for the first and only time last Christmas at AK. Scared the crap out of me! He came up to me from behind while I was talking to my family! Then he followed me around for awhile. Talking about how my hair was "spikey just like my palm branches", and pretty much followed me around talking to me for awhile. I have only caught a glimpse of Devine. It was that same day and they were escorting her back, and barely caught a glimpse of her. I have never seen the talking trash can. But I love the living statues. The first time I saw her, she reached down and grabbed my friend's son who was only 1 year old, out of my arms and they just stared at each other for the longest time. Everyone was laughing, I was waiting for the crying. He never cried. He reached for me and she yanked him back away from me, and he just stared at her againg. It was hilarious. We have it all on tape.

How do you insert pics? I got a pic of Wes I could put up. But can't figure out how to insert a picture?

When I was at AK last, I saw Wes Palm. We were waiting outside the entrance when he encountered me. He started talking to me and I repsonded. Then when he saw my spray bottle he asked me to spray him because he was very hot. Because I am the kind gentelman that I am, I sprayed his trunk like he asked. Then Wes so nicely returned the favor by spraying me back getting me pretty wet. He said "I though I would return the favor" Everyone around starterd laughing and I couldn't help to laugh as well.
So you better be aware of the moving palm as you enter AK..... :lookaroun

Wes Palm I've only seen after the park opens, around 12pm infront. I'd just ask a CM about it. I've also seen DeVine on the path between Asia and Africa, and even in Safari Village, errr, I mean Discovery Island...

Another opportunity to meet WDWmagic folks missed! Please put up a trip report ASAP so we'll all have the latest and greatest scoop.

That's so funny about your son kissing the trash can, and the trash can's response. And it's so evil of you to tell people it's because your son is weird :drevil: , but my husband would do the same, so maybe it's a another example of guy humor.

Have a great trip!

Ok.... This makes me mad  that I have never seen any of the moving/talking objects/people dressed as objects ever in all of my 14 trips to WDW.... Can someone please post how many there are and where they are usually located? lol Thank you :brick: :veryconfu

No worries; I'd only seen the living statue at Epcot after all the vacationing I've done. Once I was a CM, I spotted them all. Living statue - Italy in Epcot; DeVine - pathways around the Tree of Life in AK; Wes Palm - entrance of AK; Push - Rafiki's Planet Watch (AK), FW breezeways (Epcot), and Tomorrowland (MK). :)

Push doesn't work all those locations. He has relatives that work also!:)

I saw DeVine (though I didn't know her name) last time I was at AK in July. AMAZING!!

The Living Statue in Italy (Epcot) is great and funny and she'll be out there for a good stretch of time. Anyone can come up and take their picture with her, though you might not get a calm photo out of it! That's half the fun. I've always seen her in the later afternoons.

And Push is always around Mickey's Star Traders in Tomorrowland in MK. Look for the little kids crowded around the trash can! ;)

My husband and I saw Wes Palm at AK about a year ago. We were leaving the park and Wes told us that he liked the sort of loud Hawaiian shirt that my husband was wearing. :)
