Not exactly perfect, as the puppet was about 2/3’s the size of the animatronics.
But to kids the puppet was a great size and with the right person really can come to life. I saw dreamfinder and figment when i was 8, and that character with a puppet made me a figment fan for life.. regardless of what they do to him.

I think alot of people would flock to see the early 80s version.

Sounds like Galaxy's Edge will be getting some sort of special musical '?overlay' and viewing area for the fireworks. I think we had speculated many years ago they would do this.

Yes it was announced back on Dec 4th. It was discussed on the 2024 Disneyland Resort Event Calendar thread. Here is the announcement https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/b...sort-announces-event-dates-and-more-for-2024/

I suppose it’s possible that if you get to hear John Williams music during the fireworks, and there’s a huge positive reaction to that, (“Wow, it really makes the land come alive! This music makes me want to buy more merch!”) then they might be able to argue that it’s worth a little money to change the land’s entrance music to Star Wars themes.

They don't even use the music John Williams wrote for the land in the first place.

Sabine Wren has arrived in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at the Disneyland Resort. Disney says you will be able to encounter her for a limited time during Season of the Force.

Not only does Disney keep giving us these characters nobody cares about, they do it long after the show has come and gone so they're not even beneficial from a marketing perspective. The people want Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Yoda, C-3PO, R2-D2, and other actual Star Wars characters that generations have loved.

Chewie has been there for years. They have Kylo, is who far more interesting and relevant than Vader. I'd watch a Jedi training show with Old Man Luke and a puppet Yoda though. I've been saying that Old Man Luke teaching younglings would be a ton of fun.

We just need more walk around droids and characters period. The droids that they brought out one weekend were incredible. Add some random aliens and such and the land becomes so much more interesting.

Kylo Ren is a fantastic character. And not from a franchise that I thought was old when I was a kid 30 years ago. It would be like opening a DC themed land and complaining because Adam West Batman isn't walking around.
Point taken, but Vader is much more timeless than Adam West.

One of the smartest things they did with Kylo Ren was his fear of inferiority to Darth Vader.

They keep bringing Vader back in the TV shows, plus Rogue One. I don't think he's as outdated and irrelevant as you are saying.
