Space Mountain Exterior Refurbishment

I haven't seen this posted anywhere yet - Space Mountain's tallest spire is currently in scaffolding. Anyone know if they are repainting or repairing it? I'll try to get a picture in a little bit. My apologies if this has already been posted somewhere.

It seems like a strange thing to refurbish. Unless it's an actual hazard to safety, or something.

The paint has been stripped off so it is at minimum getting repainted, not sure of anything else.

No.. clearly, Disney owns ABC. ABC had a show called "lancelot link, secret chimp". Clearly space mountain is getting a monkey theme.

There you have it folks space mountain is the communications link for the nuke hiding in Cindy's castle spire. Confirmed by the one and only Martin no less! Don't go spreading it around now can't have national secrets all out on the internet and such...

But in all seriousness it looks like the paints gone maybe we are about to see space repainted?
