Rock n Rollercoaster down for second straight day

We got on it over the weekend. As of right now, Big Thunder, Dinosaur, and the carousel in MK are also down. We were on Spaceship Earth a couple of nights ago and it stopped at least five times and moved very slowly between stops. The next day, it was down for part of the day. Very bad show when the parks are so crowded.

Nah, they're not worried. The more rides are down, the longer the lines get on the others that are running, and the more people will want to purchase Genie+ & LL ...

Except that just about everything is sold out at HS for the rest of the day and only stand-by lines are available.

Not good to have one of your major attractions down for an entire day during Christmas week, let alone two straight days!

Look, does everyone want Tron do be done in two years, RnR fixed, West Side Story on Ultra 4K or the parking trams trams back at at full operations?
No one cares about West Side Story and there once was a time where park management actually cared about show and had parking lot trams and all the rides working and were able to build a new attraction in less than 5 years, no one higher up in this company cares about anything other than their bonus

Rides have always broken down. Just now there’s hundreds of ways for us to know even if we are not there. This isn’t some new scheme to make people buy LL. Disney isn’t purposely sabotaging their capacity. Area of improvement? Absolutely. Evil Chapek scheme? No.

Evil Chapek scheme? No.
I think this depends on what your interpretation of what a "scheme" is. Scheme to sell Genie+ and LL, probably not. Scheme to cut maintenance staffing to a point where multiple rides are down for days if not longer, and have the increased savings go to the bottom line? ABSOLUTELY. That would qualify as a scheme.

Sad part is what they're doing right now to the parks is running them into the ground. It's almost like planned obsolescence. They're running them hard to turn as much profit as they can right now, seemingly with the intent that they will eventually fail on a grand scale... then just shut them down. Imagine Magic Kingdom being so run down that they just shutter it, and then after 5 years it's completely overgrown with weeds, plant life, etc. The way they're running things, it seems almost inevitable...

Or how about Epcot?

Well said. To add to this particular case:
Breaking down for unforseen things that need to be addressed is one thing when there is a hiccup.

This is a ride that had a fire scare recently, breaks down often and now is closed for days at a time. You are right we do have more communication, however I assure you, even before the internet this was not a standard of the company.

Also, there are hundreds more ways for them to take more money and quicker, so that makes it worse too.

Closed again this morning. This is what, day 5 of it being closed during the busiest week of the year?
Sounds like they are being forced to address it, I'm sure even if it was the slowest week they would still want it open if it was scheduled to be I just hope it isn't the end for it. Olivia needs her shot at immortality.
