Do hotels at Universal have sales? We are going around the second week of August and are wondering if we should book or wait for a sale? Thank you.

You can always rebook at a lower rate if one comes up. They are very helpful. The hotels do fill up so if you want to be sure of a room book now, they will hold one night as a refundable deposit and if you spot a better deal closer you can call and change. The prices do fluctuate depending on demand

Also keep in mind you don't have to book the hotels though Universal to get the Express Pass and Early Morning benefits. You can book through your favorite travel website, so feel free to shop around.

This is key to getting the best deal.... In past trips to Universal we have gotten a better deal off Travelocity than from Universal, and on a different trip gotten a room that according to Universal's site was unavailable.... Maybe half the trips we have gotten our rooms directly from Universal and the other trips from other sources and I'm a cheap SOB so I always try to get the cheapest rate.

Hotel prices are an endless game except for really busy times of the year when hotels think they will sell out. True for all hotels.

    Good luck hunting.
