I'm going to be touring the Wish in a couple weeks. (Not sailing, just an afternoon tour before it leaves port.) I've never been on the Wish, so I'm personally excited, but if there's anything in particular that you'd like to see, please post it here and I'll do my best to get a shot for you.

How are you able to tour the ship without cruising? That sounds like fun!

We're booked on the Wish for a September cruise. We are not going backstage, but if your tour is able to go backstage, would love some pics of the bridge, galley, mechanical, crew quarters, etc. I was in the US Navy and would be interested to see those backstage areas, especially in comparison to what I experienced in the Navy.

These tours never include crew quarters, so I'm going to have to disappoint you right away. We may get to see the galley, but I don't think DCL lets any visitors onto the bridge. I will grab whatever I can backstage.

The galley would be cool. Honestly, anything backstage would be interesting to see.

If you could find and photograph the adult area, that'd be great. I must have blinked and missed it when we sailed on the Wish in late 2022. ;) (I'm kidding, of course, but the adult area is so small that its design is one of the gross flaws in the design)

I'm really sorry, but we were not allowed to photograph ANY backstage areas. We weren't even allowed to take pictures inside the Marvel restaurant because it wasn't "guest ready". The tables were covered so we couldn't even see the place settings.

What we learned is that there IS no "adult area". Instead there are several lounges throughout the ship that become "adults only" in the evenings. But there's no "District" or "After Hours" area for adults. (There is, of course, Quiet Cove, but I didn't think you could've missed that on your visit).

So here come some pics. . .

It was a rainy day, so pictures from the bus aren't very good, but here's a couple of the exterior.

One of the check-in desks for the Oceaneer Club. The circle next to the desk is a slide so kids can slide directly into the club on the deck below!

Yeah, the quiet cove area is just so small. I think the combined maximum capacity of the two pools there is 42 people. I’ll take Satellite Falls over it twice every day and 10 times on Sunday. Truly my least favorite thing about the Wish, even over the ridiculous amount of “premium shopping space” and the number of bars.

This is Nightingale's lounge. It's just off of the Great Hall. On all the other ships, there's a piano in the Atrium. Not sure if you noticed in yesterday's pictures, but there's no piano in the Great Hall. Instead, Nightingale's is an enclosed piano bar. But when there's no show in the Great Hall, Nightengale's can be opened so that the piano music can be heard throughout the Hall.

I haven't fact-checked this on an actual piano yet, but our guide told us that the musical notes on the light fixture are the actual melody from the "Sweet Nightingales" song that the ugly stepsisters sing in Cinderella.

The shops were closed because we were still in port, but I tried to get a picture of the inside of one of them.

Cross-section sketch of the Wish. I guess this is the counterpart to the model of the Magic in the Port Canaveral terminal.

Balcony stateroom. Very similar to what you get on the other ships.

This is different from any other balcony stateroom that I've seen in the Disney fleet. Floor to ceiling mirror next to the door to the balcony.

I'm leaving for my Panama Canal cruise tonight, and I just realized that it's been several days since my last post, so I'm going to dump a bunch of pictures today and they'll have to last you for a couple of weeks. :) Sorry!
