Renting points at BLT vs new Poly

Hi!
We're looking to rent points for a 2 bedroom villa mid January of 2025. With a little one in a stroller we're looking at BLT and possibly new Poly tower. Looks like BLT is slated for construction at that time (but the system still currently allows you to book for that slot??) and the new Poly hasn't opened the gates on reservations yet, but is slated to be done by then.

What do you recommend? What happens if we rent BLT and it gets closed for construction? Is it worth missing the 11 month window and waiting to attempt to reserve at Poly?

BLT won’t be closed. This is a full refurbishment but will likely be done floor by floor, and probably one wing followed by the other, starting at the top. They’ll take some rooms out of inventory, in fact this should have already begun to happen.

It would only be due to unforeseen circumstances that any guests would have to be moved, and there would have to be significant problems for that to happen.

I think given disney’s history of the last several years, I would almost expect the new poly tower to be late in opening.
