Refillable resort mugs--travel friendly?

I saw a few pics online of the free refillable resort mugs you get with the dining plan. From what I could see they don't look like they would travel well in a backpack. Can anyone clarify this for me? We like to bring refillable bottles with us while in the parks so we always have water without waiting in line for it or finding a drinking fountain.

I think you'd be better off with a water bottle, or some vessel with a more secure lid....

They are not. Bring water bottles. Not only do the mugs hold next to nothing, they do not have the most secure lid.

That's pretty much the impression I got from the pics, but wanted to be sure. Thanks to both of you for clarifying for me. We will pack our own water bottles. :slurp:

To echo what everyone else has been saying, bring the water bottle. Much easier for travelling in the parks and what not.

That being said, the refillable mugs are best used for lounging around the resort. We've always enjoyed them throughout our trips.
