Question about the soon to be announced new voice of Mickey......

Will the new actor rerecord all the Mickey lines for all the existing parades, fireworks, rides, everything? Or will they just leave everything the way it is and record everything going forward from here in the new voice?

That seems silly to me to have multiple sounding Mickey voices present in the parks and movies at the same time. What is the policy in these situations?

Hopefully his predecessor will sound pretty close to him, so they might not have to. If they do, it's going to be a big adjustment.

I really really hope it does not get to that. I hope he sounds very similar and I think Disney will find someone that does.

I have only ever heard the existing voice.........

Did you guys who have lived through a Mickey voice change find the voice hard to adjust to? Could you tell a difference?

I'm just so scared that they won't be able to find a suitable sound alike, and our new Mickey is gonna sound so different........:brick:

If you have seen any old (1930's-40's) Mickey Mouse Cartoons, that's Walt doing the voice.:D

Sounded pretty much the same...I'm sure it won't be too different.

There is no way Disney will rerecord everything. It wouldn't be cost efficient. Maybe Mickey will finally hit puberty. That would explain the voice change.

In that second video, when he says that he holds Mickey close enough to love him, but not so close that it kills him when he lets go, and his wife says, "Yes it will."

Since they need to get Mickey's voice back out there to continue on. I would have like to seen a talent search for people who do voices like myself. When I was booking my trip on the Reservation line I did Mickey's voice when I heard my room was all set and the CM on the other line was so surprised to hear it she put me on hold and had 2 other cm's and their manager to hear it..They were speechless when they heard it...

Are you people seriously saying that Mickey doesn't do his own voice? :shrug::(:eek:

I've heard of scripted reality shows before, but this would take the cake! Imagine if it got out that Mickey wasn't really 'the mouse'....I can't imagine the chaos!:lookaroun

I do a FANTASTIC impression of Mickey Mouse as he sounded on the South Park premier this year. LOL

They won't re-record anything. No reason to do that. The new voice, whoever it is, will be close enough to the old voice that it won't be really noticeable.
