The ticket discount pales in comparison to what we get at Walt Disney World. At WDW members get $100 off the price of an Annual Pass. At DL I believe it's only $20 off, and that only applies to the FIRST time you buy an AP. No discount on renewals.
The dining discounts are pretty good, though. We get 10% off of just about every restaurant on property (Napa Rose is one noteworthy exception.)
And there are a few random shops at Downtown Disney that offer 10% discounts.
Bear in mind that discounts are subject to change. For the past 18 years the only way to stay at Disneyland on points was to "trade" into one of the three non-DVC hotels. In a way I'm surprised they offer any discounts at all.
Come September when DVC's official presence opens at the Grand Californian, we could see a different lineup of discounts.
