We will be buying our 1 day tickets online this week and I'm wondering if they send you the old plastic card, paper tickets, or something else. Also, how does the fast pass scanners work if you don't have a magicband.

You can have them mail you tickets (which will be a plastic card) or choose Will Call and pick the tickets up when you arrive (also a plastic card). In either case, during checkout you can link the ticket to your MDE profile and upon finishing the sale you'll have access to making your FP+ choices for the day.

Whichever way you choose to get your ticket, you'll use the plastic card to enter the park and check into your FP+ reservations.

Awesome, thank you. Do you know if you can link them to an old magicband?

As long as both the ticket and Band are linked to the same MDE profile, you're good to go. Tickets aren't "linked" to the Band, but rather the Band is simply a pointer to "you" in the MDE database. When scanned, the computer looks you up to find the ticket associated with your profile.

In fact, as long as the ticket isn't a special-discount ticket for which you have to show ID to activate it (like FL Resident, military, etc), you can skip Will Call and go right to the gate with your Band.

If you link the ticket to the same MDE account that your old band is linked to, which
Is what you should do, then your old band will work. No need to stop at guest services. You can even purchase your ticket through the app and link immediately. As long as you are using the same MDE there is nothing more to do.
