Newbie Cast Member looking for answers & information

Hi everyone, I'm hoping to get all the help & information I can get about the "dos & donts" as a Food Service Cast Member at Disney World.

I'll start Traditions Saturday.
How many days is Tradition Classes for Food Service members?

Do they give you a orientation packet of where you'll be working?

Will I be sitting in a classroom watching videos or will there be some hands on training?

Will there be a tour?

I also wanted to know about the hub cause I will definitely be using it to book my hotel stay.
Also what's the best hotel/motel do you recommend for weekly/monthly stay?

Is pay weekly/biweekly?

How many hours will Part Time receive?

Im sure I'll have alot more questions, but til then any and all information will be greatly appreciated.

The pay is weekly, for PT they schedule you whenever they want within your availability, you might not get any hours. Its been years since ive done it but its like an orientation and you will get to walk Magic Kingdom

How many days is Tradition Classes for Food Service members?
Traditions is one day then you'll go through Welcome to Operations followed by your Line of Business (Food & Beverage) training.

Do they give you a orientation packet of where you'll be working?
You'll receive all the information and resources you need to proceed through your training and start your role.

Will I be sitting in a classroom watching videos or will there be some hands on training?
There will be a bit of both.

Will there be a tour?
I don't want to ruin the magic for you.

You won't be able to access the hub before your second or third training day.

Is pay weekly/biweekly?
Weekly.

How many hours will Part Time receive?
Depends on operational need within the days you have offered as available.
