The über-convenience store chain WAWA is building around Orlando now, including one at I-Drive at Central Florida Parkway near Sea World. I hear those are pretty good.

Normally I am anti-chain although I do enjoy 5 guys burgers and the like.

Most chains will not allow a burger cooked to temperature, which is a bummer. As a wise chef once told me, "well done is overdone".

Plus a really nice sear of the beef over a hot grill really brings out the flavor.

All that being said I am sure I will stop by and it sounds like a decent partnership.

It's not a regular chain like 5 Guys, which I love too but it does cook to order. We have one here at Mohegan Sun casino and it's amazing. Since it's technically quick service (You order at a counter and they bring it to you) it's not super upscale but I think it's a step up from some place like 5 Guys.

Plus, we already have one Iron Chef why not another?

While this is quite possible there is already a Fudrucker's there that would be direct competition for them. The rent at DTD would surely be higher, but I would think that nearly zero direct competition and an insane amount of foot traffic should more than make up for the higher rent.

Forgot about Fuddruckers (they've been closing locations near me here in Western New York). Guess Crossroads doesn't make too much sense. I definitely vote for DTD anyway.

Whether it's operated by Disney or a third party, I support quality, well-executed establishments. So if Burger 21 fits the bill, I'm there!

Cat Kora is nowhere near as good as Keller. I wish Bobby Flay would open a place at the American Pavilion

Everything will be 3rd party. If Burger21 is coming to DTD, don't be surprised to find out Levy Restaurants is the franchisee.

But to emphasize again, no one has said this place is going to DTD.

honestly I had never been in the cross-roads area in decades until the last two years. Glad I stayed away! That area can be quite a madhouse at times and isn't 'magical' at all and reminds me far too much of suburb sprawl around us. Concrete with massive strip malls.

I avoid that corner of the property.

I stayed at the Radisson right there off the interstate as an overnight stay on our last trip in Orlando (which was a fantastic hotel for the price!!) but that area was about as anti-Disney as I could get.

Hey neighbor! Fuddruckers!? Dont miss it one bit. I would however like to see something move in the location in cheektowaga and stay there.

just because they said Lake Buena Vista doesn't mean its going to DTD. there is a road with an entrance to WDW which is really where Lake Buena Vista is. so i wouldn't get ur hopes up

What about In-and-out Burger 1st east coast location?

That would be a real, real problem. I'm in the Jacksonville area, and it would cost about $70 in gas for a trip for an In-and-Out burger once a month...of course, I could just do that on one of our weekend trips, but you know...

i am amazed how people want simplistic places that specialize in one thing. Why not a sports grille that has an upscale feel with a great variety of food in DTD? who does this? no One! Who needs a famous name that's overkill, or a place that can serve typical burgers at a mall. Bring in a place that serves all, meaning adults, kids, and families? check out rivalscleveland.com Everything for every person. A perfect fit for DTD. Just like Splitzville is. A family oriented place.
