Oh-Ho, it seems we have an unexpected scoop about Shanghaî Disneyland in this interview of Suzanne Todd, one of the new Alice in Wonderland movie "Through the Looking Glass" producers, when she says in a Collider interview, talking about one of the new movie decors:

"TODD: We built this incredible town of Wit’s End that I’m sure will show up in a Disney Park soon, and you’ll get to see it in its full glory. Yeah, Shanghai! Shanghai actually has this very cool Aliceland, the one that’s opening in June of 2016. All of Fantasyland in Shanghai, the one that’s opening now, is all Alice in Wonderland-themed with mazes and hedges and painting the roses red. It’s pretty amazing.

COLLIDER: I think Disney should invite us.

TODD: Yes, we should all go. Shanghai 2016! There’s a second version of Shanghai in the second wave of them building stuff that will be four or five years later where they’ll have the ride that lines up with what happens in this movie, which is super exciting."

Thank you for sharing this. As you likely know, there's an Alice in Wonderland walkthrough maze being built that will open on June 16th. Here are some new photos, by the way: http://www./2016/03/photos-a-closer...aze-attraction-coming-to-shanghai-disneyland/

But the second attraction coming down the road... that's certainly news. There have been quite a few rumors of a "second round" of attractions planned, and I, unlike many, would be glad to see those plans actually become reality. There looks to be room for an attraction next to or behind Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, which would be right across from the maze, fitting in well. As for the whole Fantasyland being Alice and Wonderland themed... that may be exaggeration or lack of knowledge, or it may be true and that would be news as well. I wonder if Disney and their partners are okay with what she said.

And I have confidence that this plan won't fall through. The Chinese Communist Party will ensure that it happens. ;)

This bothers me. Based on the awful live action movie, what were they thinking.. I guess the Paris maze will be the superior one for me then.

The Paris maze is in an awful state, absolutely horrible. To be fair, last time I've seen it was in October 2015, but I was shocked. It is the attraction that needs most love and attention from management. Currently, the only good thing about the maze is the view you have over DLP when you've reached the top of the castle.
