"Disney storyboard artist John Ramirez is also a theme park designer and has created this Ghibli inspired marvel! In a technologically advanced journey you’ll be transported through the key moments of Studio Ghibli’s My Neighbour Totoro in a giant acorn taking in sights like Totoro growing a giant camphor tree and the Catbus disappearing. Its clear Ramirez who has worked on movies like The Lion King and Aladdin also has a real passion for all things Ghibli!
Whilst its not yet official, Ramirez has said he’s spoken to Hayao Miyazaki a number of times about Disney building this ride somewhere, and even though he’s been knocked back each time says he’ll keep asking “until they bar me from the studio or until he says yes!”
All I have to say is wow. It's shame this got rejected but I strongly think Tokyo Disneyland NEEDS something from Studio Ghibli.
