Music in your head

There is usually a Disney song in my head. Most commonly, it turns out to be a song from a past attraction, the most common being Tomorrow's Child, Fun to be Free, (Energy) You Make the World Go Round, Listen to Land, and Now is the Time.

When it's a current attraction, it's Go With the Flow (Nemo Musical), Grim Grinning Ghosts, something from Country Bear Jamboree, and, dare I say it, It's a Small World.

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair, the smell of Calitas, rising up through the air........:D

I always thought it was "Warm smell of colitas". And I recall an article that had two suggestions as to the meaning.

The first is that a colita is a desert plant that can be smoked producing a marijuana-like effect.

The second was that it's actually a personal story that goes something like this. There was a man by the name of Snell who lived in the town of Colitas. This man's parents named him "Wern" after some long ago ancestor. Mr. Snell had passed away at some point. During a nightime drive through the desert in a convertible (perhaps after smoking some colitas), one of the band members saw a ghost that looked like Mr Snell, and penned the lyric "On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair, Wern Snell of Colitas, rising up through the air."

We've apparently all been hearing it wrong all our lives!

"I'm walking right down the middle of Main Street USA,
it's the heart of America, the heartbeat of a holiday."

Should I go on??:)

LOL! I had that song stuck in my head one summer when I would babysit my youngest brother.

Now, I usually have "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" since it's my ringtone!

I had this in my head when I sat down here tonight...

Dream on Dream of the Magic, it's Disney's Dream Come True...

The music from the parade. My kids sing it all the time.

There's a great big beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of every day
there's a great big beautiful tomorrow, and tomorrow's just a dream away.

Man has a dream and that's the start
He follows his dream with mind and heart.
And when it becomes a reality,
It's a dream come true for you and mean.

Oh there's a great big beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of every day!
There's a great big beautiful tomorrow, just a dream away.
OR
(hmm, mm, mm, mm, mm m -m tomorrow, da da da da da da every day! ;)

Okay, what disney song if any today was in your head.

For me it is

Now is the time.
Now is the best time.
Now is the best time of your life.
Life is a prize, live every minute.
Open your eyes and watch how you win it!
Yesterday's memories may sparkle and gleam,
tomorrow is still but a dream.
Right here and now,
you've got it made.
The world's forward marching and you're in the parade!
Now is the time.
Now is the best time.
Be it a time of joy or strife.
There's so much to cheer for, be glad you're here.
For it's the best time of your life.

Is it just me or does the singer in this sound like Albert Brooks? I know it's not it just reminds me of him. Specifically, when Brooks lowers his voice a bit to do characters like "Scorpio" in "the Simpsons".

Maybe it's just me.....:lookaroun

Listen to it....I swear I'm not crazy. Ok, not THAT crazy.

When the crypt doors creak and the tombstones quake
Spooks come out for a swinging wake
Happy haunts materialize
And begin to vocalize
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize

Now don't close your eyes and don't try to hide
Or a silly spook may sit by your side
Shrouded in a daft disguise
They pretend to terrorize
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize

As the moon climbs high over the dead oak tree
Spooks arrive for the midnight spree
Creepy creeps with eerie eyes
Start to shriek and harmonize
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize

When you hear the knell of a requiem bell
Weird glows gleam where spirits dwell
Restless bones etherealize
Rises spooks of every size

There's a great big beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of every day

"Welcome to our family time
Welcome to our happy to be time
This is our festival, you know and best of all
We're happy to share it all

Remembering loved ones departed
Someone dear to your heart
Finding love, and planning a future
Telling stories and laughing with friends
Precious moments you'll never forget"

This was one of my favorite songs that they played in Character Connection- I went to DL a few weeks after I got home from WDW and I freaked when I heard Welcome in PoD, and of course the floodgates broke! MKT, were you there that time?

Also always stuck in my head is the music from DAWM....

*Sidenote- second fav song from character connection- the remix of I Wanna Be Like You by Smash Mouth- I'd be the happiest girl in the world if anyone knew where I could get it!?!?!

Mine is usually Golden Dream from the American Adventure.I just love listening to that song over and over.Must be the pride I feel for my country as I also just love seeing the memories of the people and stories that are on the screen during that part of the show. The people that always stick out the most to me are Johnny Carson,1980 US Hockey team,Walt, and most of all Bob Hope(he is a huge idol of mine and i try to collect all of his movies)

Had Fun to be Free stuck in my head for like 2 hours today. The music from Spectromagic is another I often tend to get stuck in my head.

um you're pretty much my hero now! I know it sounds totally lame, but one of my favorite parts of working CC was the music, so it's kind of a nostalgia thing. Thanks so much, that made my day!!

So what's the chance you know where the music at the hat comes from??:D
