News Monorail Lime towed tonight (10/26)

Monorail Lime had to be towed by the tractor tonight on the EPCOT line. Photos are from The DAK Guy on Instagram.

Haven’t seen anything else about it so far. Not sure what the issue was.

on 9/29 Monorail yellow was stuck in this position for at least 6 hours. There were no passengers that I could see. I didn't see it reported on. Can The Epcot line operate with this parked here?

Ummm... The Epcot line has one beam. If a train is stuck on said beam...

So I guess there are no cross-overs, by-passes, maintenance beams, etc.? Any one of those would probably allow operations to continue.

Also just running one train back and forth would be the simplest way.

This is the reason WDW built the spur near the TTC. That was a place to park a tug for the Epcot line.

The line could be run in shuttle mode if they wanted to.

Yes. Any of the beams can operate in shuttle mode if need be and have.

And since the train was still moving, most people on the ground probably didn’t even notice which is why this is the first anyone’s mentioning it.

Epcot monorail in shuttle mode

East side beam not in use, west side is shuttling with only Green monorail. Supplemental bus service available.

I saw this parked above World Drive by the TTC around 9pm or so. Interesting to see it broke down inside of EPCOT!

They can send out the tug and drag er back to the round house…but the line is still tied up

We’ve already found out that they did manage to keep the line open despite the train parked inside Epcot.

My bad…I didn’t realize it was in the station. Sure…at the “end of the line” it’s easier to shuttle the beam.
