I read that laundry is free for DVC members. Do people that rent DVC points also get free laundry?

No. Not that I recall.

Only free if you have a washer and dryer in your room. 1 bed villas and larger have it in the room. Studios do not have them. There is paid washers and dryer facilities to use though at all resorts.
