The busses do not suck. I enjoy the busses. It is one of the best parts of a WDW vacation. Not having to get in the car, fight traffic, look for parking, and then take a tram is one of the best perks to staying on property.

I did my first off-property stay this summer and I was reminded how great it is at the end of the night to just get on a bus and ride back to my resort, rather than literally fight over lanes in the maze of Disney traffic while dog tired.
I agree......hate the fight at the end of a long day.

I didn't think there were park to park buses so I never looked for them. I usually hop on a bus to the closest resort and then hop on the bus to the park I want to go to.

All of them, with the exception of MK have all buses in the same location. In MK the buses that stop right outside of the gate are resort buses. From MK you need to go to TTC to pick up the buses going to the other parks.

Not to change the subject completely, but what in most WDWmagician's opinions is the fastest way from Epcot to DHS if you're starting in, say, Future World? To take the bus from the main entrance or to walk through World Showcase and take the boat that stops at Boardwalk, Yacht & Beach, and Swan & Dolphin?

Let me change that into: what is faster from the last stop before DHS at the boat dock of the Swan and Dolphin, to take the boat to DHS, or to swim all the way across WS lagoon, crawl through FW, hop backwards on one leg underneath the monorail to the TTC and hitchhike from there to the Studios via Miami Beach?

Agreed. I love using the buses instead of driving. The only bad experience I had with buses is when we were leaving DHS and we were waiting to get on a bus, but there was already a full busload so we had to wait 45 minutes for the next bus to come. Other than that I love the buses. They definitely don't suck.

In my experience, the swim, crawl, hop, and hitchhike option would be faster than the boat. And cooler.

We used the park to park buses a few time at the beginning of this month. The buses at that go to the TTC and other parks from HS are kind of out of the way.
We love the buses too. Just one bad experience, at the end of the day leaving HS on the TTC bus with an extremely long line. Some line crasher got obnoxious when someone pointed out the end of the line. Saying some really stupid things and teaching his kids a great lesson. It's Okay to disrespect everyone being curteous and waiting. And when the bus driver asked everyone to move as far back as they can he and his family stood up at the front and everyone still getting on the bus had to squeeze past the 4 of them. Again disrespecting everyone!

...my only complaint was that I wish there were direct buses from park to park. Excluding the monorail linking MK and Epcot and the boat linking Epcot and DHS, it's so inconvenient to get from park to park. It took me over an hour to get from MK to DHS by means of the monorail to the TTC then by bus. Just seems odd to me that you pay for a park hopper ticket and it's almost discouraging wasting such a large chunk of time (that could be spent riding the Haunted Mansion!) on indirect transportation. Any one else have any thoughts on this?

Ive taken park to park buses recently. We went from Hollywood to Animal without Monorail Boat, Etc. Then From Animal to Epcot without issues.

I've never had an issue park hopping, our issue usually is going to other resorts for breakfast since we have to take a park bus, then switch to the resort bus we are trying to get to, or hop the monorail. And of course since I want to be at rope drop every morning, trying to get a bus that early can be a pain, thankfully we met some awesome bus drivers this past trip that just took us to the other resorts instead of swapping at the park since we were the only people up that early.
When we were there last Dec., there was an early bus that would take you to your breakfast reservations - we went from POFQ to Boma at AKR directly. Check with the front desk of your resort.

I actually wish there was a WDW cab service. Something like $10 for a ride from any place in WDW to any destination within WDW...

I'm surprised there wasn't a Disney Bus Guide Map ...You can pic them up at a Disney Resort, or one of the Disney Bus Transportation Info Kiosk at the Parks .

There is. It's called Mears. There are taxi stands near the buses outside all of the parks with many taxis waiting. (For the MK it's at the TTC). At hotels there is usually a taxi nearby, Bell Services can call you one, or you can call for it yourself, 407-422-2222.

As for those who didn't read the signs at the bus stops and thus didn't know that there were inter-park buses, they're clearly marked. I'd suggest reading the signs in the future before assuming that something isn't true.

You can clearly see listings for the TTC ("Gateway to the Magic Kingdom"), Epcot and Studios on this sign outside Animal Kingdom. (Not my photo)

(And though this pic is old, the buses were still running two weeks ago)
