Got booked for 6 days at WL and got a campsite for my folks (they have a camper) to join us for a couple of days too!!! So happy! Hopefully that means one night of freedom for me and my wife while Grannie and Papa take the kids 
Based on information received here and from chatting with a Disney rep, I know I can apply a yet to be released discount to an existing reservation when and if it comes out. The caveat is that it depends upon resort availability so it's possible that it may not be applicable or I may need to create a new reservation.
I'm wondering now about the possibility of discounts for early January 2013 since the talk around the town is the phasing out of discounts in 2013. I don't see how that's entirely possible based on the projected price increases, but we shall see.
Can't wait to tell the kids now .. hmmm .. will have to think up something new this time
