Jungle cruise mic changes

Hi guys.
At magic kingdom now.
The skippers on the Jungle cruise are wearing headsets rather than the normal handsets.
We had (I’m assuming giving the lack of costume) a lead giving the tour with some new skippers watching but a number of boats had the new mic.
Not necessarily bad but weirdly different and has changed recently.

Edit:
They might be testing them as the skipper is struggling with wire placement.

If it helps with getting the sound right throughout the boat , it will be a good thing. At times in the past our skippers voice just didnt carry to everyone in the seats. As they get more comfortable with the device they will have an easier time of working with it. Other attraction CM's could use better sound devices as well.

This leaves me hopeful that the audio quality on the boats will be improved. That's been my one big issue with Jungle Cruise, is that so often the sound is garbled. Hopefully this can improve or fix that.

But yes, the cords wrapping around them could be an issue and play havok. They may need to find some ways to work around that, and give longer cords to give them some play room, if they keep with headsets
