I75 both directions near Kentucky/Tennessee border closed due to rock slide. TDOT saying it will be closed a couple weeks. Thought WDW'ers might be interested since that is bumping up against early spring break travel.

Official detour is I297 between Caryville and Jellico, but Waze app is showing that is a mess.

Since posting, northbound and southbound traffic have been placed on separate detours. Commercial vehicles have been given their own detour as well, but some semis are still taking the car routes.

After having just driven the southbound detour, I would recommend RVs/travel trailers avoid the 297 detour. Steep curvy roads.

With Sunday evening traffic we made it through in about an hour. The bottleneck is where Newcomb Pk (steep/curvy, 30/45mph) meets up with Howard Baker Hwy (SR63, 55mph). Traffic started backing up about a mile or so from the intersection. It's a hard left turn with just a stop sign for the Newcomb Pk traffic. When I went through there were a couple police cars sitting at the intersection, but no flashers or traffic direction.
