Trip Report HAPPY 150TH BIRTHDAY CANADA - A special WDWMagic Meet at a Non Disney Event

Welcome and Bienvenue to my trip report.

(Note: this will be the only bilingual aspect of my post but perhaps my fellow Canucks can help adding in some more.)

As the title suggest today is the 150th Birthday for my country, Canada.
I know I am not alone on these boards celebrating today.

So as Canadians we have a reputation of being polite , well mannered, respectful, etc, etc,
I am proud of my country and its diversity and inclusion approach in all aspects of our lives.
(and if that is offending anyone - I am sorry).

As a famous Canadian ( Martin Short) said at the end of O' Canada:

"If you want to visit then just head straight out the theatre doors , hang a sharp left , walk past the big silver ball and keep walking due north, you can't miss it .
Tell them Marty sent you!!

Well I make the same offer - the door is open and the welcome mat is out!

You may be asking - why is this in the Trip Report section

And I would reply : Excellent question!!

My time on these boards have introduced me to great people from around the globe and from just around the block ( sort of)

One of those local WDWMagic members is going to meet me tomorrow at a national event

Who is it??
Where will it be??

Stay tuned!!!

(@dmatt87 - that one was for you!)

Tough loss today!

But the highlight was finally getting to meet Max and his wonderful wife T. They are both lovely people and I am thrilled we had a chance to meet - even with a missed train trying to ruin our plans LOL!

We made it....just wish the Jays could have pulled off a win. Next time.

See yah real soon @amjt660

We started talking about it a few weeks ago when we realized we both had tickets to this game
So my DW and I met them at the Bacardi bar and shared a drink with her and her husband Ryan
It was great to finally meet someone from the boards in person ( even if it wasn't technically at Disney)

And while we were getting to know each other better they opened up the roof
A beautiful sunny day for baseball and meeting friends

Where r you going to be in Ontario?

Max
The first week in August, we are going to my parents in very Northern New York. They now live in the 1000 Islands ( I grew up in Watertown, Ny). We go to Kingston every trip. The Kingston Brew Company is a family favorite and enjoy shopping around the beautiful town. We have not been to Old Fort Henry in a while so I may take the kids.

@amjt660 I have to tell you we have been trying to decide on our next family vacation and we will be traveling (hopefully) to Lake Simcoe. My son requested a vacation on a lake and some jet ski rentals ( I'm hoping there are jet ski rentals some where). My DH loves baseball (Go RedSox!) so a day or two in Toronto will be a must. I know it's early but everyone is excited for this... now we must pick a date next year!!
