Getting to the WDW Dolphin from MCO...

I'm sure this question has been asked before but I'm too lazy to go searching through pages and pages of threads, so here we go! I understand that Disney does not offer its Magical Express service to the WDW Swan and Dolphin. Can anyone confirm this? And if so, then what would be the easiest/cheapest way to get from MCO to the WDW Dolphin, specifically?

I'm pretty sure that's correct...we've planned trips a few times thinking that we'd stay at the Swan or Dolphin (my husband could get a teacher discount) and the transportation from the airport is what always stops us. I guess you'd need to end up taking a cab or renting a car - HOWEVER - if you bring a car it's $15 per day to park it, in additional to the $14 per day resort fee they'll charge you. I'm sure we'll stay at the Swan or Dolphin some day, but after crunching the numbers we've done better renting DVC points or using a Disney discount.

Check out this page on mousesavers.com for more information:

Thank you!

That's what I figured.. We're going to be in WDW for 2 weeks and we're using our DVC points at BLT, but our points don't kick in until Sunday in order to get the most out of them with a weekly rate (Sun-Sat). So instead of staying at one of the DTD resorts for Saturday night, we found a room at the Dolphin for not much more (surprisingly...)

My family is driving down from NY Friday evening and I'm flying down Saturday afternoon, so if there was a cheap enough way to get myself to the Dolphin I'd take that instead of waiting for them to pick me up at MCO.

My preference is to get a town car. They pick you up at the baggage carousel, and take you directly to the resort. You can even have a grocery stop if you need one. Check out Quicksilver Tours - they have been on this forum for years.

Picking up a case of water, munchies and some brewskies to enjoy while chillaxing in the room before heading back into the parks is great! We gave up on ME three trips ago and never looked back!

We've stayed at the Dolphin a few times (great nurse's discount) and always use a town car service secondary to the parking fees mentioned above. The grocery stop is a great plus! Swim diapers and alcohol (not to be used at the same time) can really add up! $$ :)
