Couple of things to keep in mind; each of the sites will vary in size based on the topography of the land surrounding it. Additionally, the location within the loop will heavily affect how easy or difficult it is to arrange your site. For instance, the originally loops seem to have the sites closer to others, particularly in the inside side of the road of the loop. Also there are some preferred loops that are all black top, which makes staking a tent out near impossible. So all that being said, we have toured around in the golf carts and made some notes on things. The 1800 loop is one of the newer loops that does have blacktop and ground area. It is located near the middle of the campgrounds and towards the back of a four loop grouping. There appears to be more space between the sites. The 800 loop has large sites but I believe they are all black topped. It would be really helpful if you have never been to FW to go to the all ears site, look under accommodations, and at the end of the picture slide show there is a campground map.
We went last Sept and were on the 100 loop and had all sorts of room at our site. Then when we were there in May and the first site they gave us we couldn't not get our 29 foot travel trailer and truck into due mostly to size of site and the angle of the site to the loop (they are one way); and it was just down the "street" from the site we had a year before. A CM saw our deliemma and called the front desk and had us moved within five minutes. He also finished his original task and then drove around the 200 loop to make sure that we were okay. Our site was 219 we had our 29' with slide travel tailer, our pickup truck and a tent that was at least as large as the second one you had picked. When you make your ressie you should give them size of RV, slide numbers, and let them know that you also want to put up a tent. If you booked online you can still call that information in to be noted on your ressie, which should make life a little easier for the CMs. Enjoy your time at FW!!!!
