Hello!

First off my thank you's to people will be held at the very end of my report. So if you feel like you should be thanked for something, or shown my appreciation for something...you're going to have to wait a while. Nobody cares about you anyway.

Secondly, I used the up-loader on this site for my pictures and it kind of did a number on them. Once I get everything situated with a photo hosting site this will continue. Thing that sucks is all those sites are blocked through my work computer so I am going to have to actually do this on my on time and not works time.

*Warning*

What you’re about to read are my thoughts and feelings from my most recent trip to Walt Disney World. A lot of sarcasm and pointing out the moronic things other humans do…along with their rudeness and pure oblivious behavior to others around them will be written here.

If you put kids on your shoulders to watch fireworks, leave messy food trays at tables or other places other than a trash can for someone else to clean, take flash pictures on or in “dark attractions”, stop in the middle of rows to sit down, talk during shows, pull that metal latch on the hotel door so it stops your door from closing and you continue to open your hotel door and let it slam shut 20 times in a row at 7am and other dumb inconsiderate things…you MIGHT not want to read this.

If you enjoy sarcasm, “decent” photography, food ography, side stories, pictures of people dressed “special”, and most of all ME!!! Then you are in the right place.

Swear words might be abbreviated. I may think that things YOU do are ignorant and inconsiderate to others around you. Please don’t be offended. LEARN from it. Don’t cry about it. I am not going to argue with you or justify why you should be beat with wet dish rags because you like to hang out and talk with other guests in your party in doorways leading to the entrance/exit of an attraction or the middle of stairs. There is just no hope for you.

This report is made to be funny. It is also made to be serious and informative as well. I don’t have ANY behind the scenes knowledge but I do feel like I have a pretty good grasp on how to have a pretty great time in Disney World and where you should eat delicious food.

I take a TON of photographs and I work rather hard to get good photographs not only for myself but for all of you to hopefully enjoy as well. I pride myself in taking awesome food photographs. I like to feel someone responsible for the big “boom” on this around here.

When I first started planning Disney Trips on my own I always wanted to see what the food looked like before I arrived. There was really NOWHERE to find it. So, I said to myself “Take pictures of EVERYTHING you eat and see and post them to help other people in the same boat as you.” I am a picky eater, which is why this was important to me. I hope along the way I have helped some people out. I hope this report does too. I took 3,444 photographs on just MY camera alone!

This trip is two years, well it WAS two years in the making.

The cast of this trip my fiancée Colleen and me.

Here I am...

...and the much needed couple post...

ALS_02.jpg

We knew we were going to, and when we were going to go but we booked it for real in April. That was the deadline so that we could do our 180+10 dining reservation thing.

We booked All Star Sports Resort arriving on October 9th and departing October 23rd! I missed the big turf field and being able to go out there and throw football after a long day of Typhoon Lagooning, Dining and Park Hopping. But that plan would soon crumble just like most of our plans this trip.

After calling and speaking to Disney World for what feels like 80 times checking for further discounts on the Cast Member plan never ever never once did they mention to me “Oh by the way, the food court at All Star Sports will be closed during your stay.” I had to accidentally find out about it on here.

So now we are faced with our first “White People Problems” of the trip.

Stay at All Star Sports and use Movies and or Music Food Courts?

Or…

Try for Art of Animation or Pop Century which we both hated on a previous trip?

We ended up at Pop because Art of Animation was booked solid. We figured we could walk across The Generation Gap Bridge and eat at AoA because that was really the only thing that appealed to us about staying at AoA in the first place. So here we are now at a hotel we both really did not want to stay at. We are 3 months out and we are already switching things around that we really did not want to switch at all. We almost considered spending more money and staying at Port Orleans or Caribbean Beach. It just did not make sense because we do not spend a lot of time at the resort, or so we thought…

About a month our from our arrival date I got an email asking if I wanted to participate in testing for Magic Bands. Umm, of course I do. You just made me feel really important by sending me this email. So we selected our colors and a day later we got these via UPS!

A few days later our Magical Express packet came.

Now all that is left is our trip. No more ADR’s, no more waiting for things in the mail…the next big step is near.

Day 1 10/9/2013

Finally…The day has come. Up at 3am, well alarm is set for 3am. We don’t have to leave until 4am. I think we dragged ourselves…yes we still had to drag ourselves out of bed knowing what was waiting for us a few short hours away. I think we left the house at like 4:15am for the 25-30 min right to Pittsburgh International Airport. Pretty weird that it’s 25 minutes from Pittsburgh though. Oh well.

We got to the airport checked our bags got through security all less than 10 minutes. Our gate for Air Tran was as far away as possible. I never have been that far back in the airport. The funniest thing I noticed at the airport is that it was 5:20am and Quaker Steak and Lube was about to open up. (Skip ahead 15 days) We passed it again when we returned home at 9:50pm and they were closed. That is pretty weird.

(Back to present time)

It is now time to board our flight. Our flight was pretty full. Normally our plane is half full but there were not too many seats open on our plane. AWESOME flight though. No bumps or dips at all. We arrived at MCO in about 1 hour and 50 minutes. 25 minutes earlier than posted. Sorry no airplane pictures. It was dark the whole time and then nothing but clouds. We came out of the clouds and landed 5 minutes after.

I know where I am going once we get off the “monorail” at MCO but it always strikes me as odd that they have pretty much zero signs saying where to go to check in for The Magical Express. Oh well…good thing I am not new at this. This is really all the help you get, but it is down on the bottom floor when you should pretty much already know where you are going!

Then at the 2 mile point we saw this...

Loved those parade photos.

Narcoossee's is on my list of restaurants I haven't tried yet. Shame they downgraded the strawberry dessert on you, I remember that you liked that one a lot.

Yeah I mean they basically took the shortcake, something that was pretty unique and dumbed it down to a piece of angel cake with strawberry sauce.

Loving the report and your pictures are amazing as always! BOG looks fab, decor wise. Very excited to eat there in May. We love Philharmagic too! ITs a must do for us as well. You, know I have not been on the carousel of progress since my VERY FIRST trip! I think I may change that this week.

No Pic of you louging around the GF? What a complete jacka@$ that women was. I hate people like that. Godd for you biting your tongue and not saying anything! I totally would have been making remarks and making sure they hear me! SMH!

I love the Jungle Cruise! Never fails to make me LOL. Excited to see what modifications they made to the "Jingle" Cruise.

Love all your pictures! Especially the last one you took with the gargoyle at Be Our Guest, that one is beautiful. And that woman at Narcoossees is a perfect example of what's wrong with too many people-- entitlement. I don't get it.

Also, there is no correct way to go about the staring/name tag situation. I used to work at Staples and whenever I noticed a customer staring over there, they would also address me by my name, so it never weirded me out. Then one night, I was working at the register and a male customer was staring, so I thought nothing of it, just that he was reading my name. But then he proceeded to tell me that I had "beautiful" (real beautiful in a men's staples polo apparently?) and he went on describing them in greater detail. It was probably the most awkward experience ever, and to this day when I wear a name tag that conversation is in the back of my head. So there is no way around that unfortunately!

You never saw that report on CNN about how Staples designed their polo shirts to make seem big, bigger, nice, or nicer?

Yeah I totally made that up. But that dude who did that was obviously insane.

I can speak from experience and I have NEVER been shy to talk to ANY girl that I ever saw or thought was pretty. NEVER, EVER, NEVER once have I thought to start a conversation about her . Unless the girl is a complete weirdo as well...where do you really think that conversation is going to go from there? Honestly you can probably get arrested for that. Haha

Where did you get a star filter for your camera?! I thought the one I sent you didn't fit? Which you still need to send back to me!! It's ok, you can wait as long as I waited to send you Epcot 30 stuff.... over a year!! But hey at least you'll get a package from me right around Christmas! Woooo!!!

Anywho, sorry to hear about the strawberry stuff at Narcoossee's. I know that was your fave! The strawberry shortcake I had there was so good!

I really enjoyed that picture of the butt cheeks. Perfect ending to my day here at work!

Haha I do not have a star filter on my camera! What pics are you talking about? Yours was def too small (what she said) but yeah I haven't been near an open post office in ages. I will send it back Saturday along with Mr Bricker's fish eye.

Yeah it was pretty upsetting about the dessert. Seems like they just really dumbed it down. I don't know. All the other desserts remained except for that one. Annoying.

I actually said thank you lol! I didn't know what to do, because I didn't really feel threatened or anything it was just weird. We were very understaffed and I didn't think it was worth awkwardly calling a manager over in front of a bunch of customers who didn't otherwise seem to hear the conversation. But it was definitely very strange.

Day 5 10/13/2013

We woke up and decided that we needed to walk over to Art of Animation and finally get some lunch there. After all this was pretty much the main thing we were excited about since we had to stay at Pop. Here is the big jukebox dial…

Here is Miss Sleepy Head…

How would this be complete without someone in an airplane spreading the word of God and Jesus?

DSC_1103.jpg

Now I saw a miracle happen while at the bus stop later on this day. I will explain it when I get to that part. I, however fully believe that since this was in the sky it was a true miracle and an act from god.

The theme and decoration at Art of Animation is pretty awesome.

For my meal I had the Surf and Turf Burger. The Surf and Turf Burger is a crab cake topped with popcorn shrimp. It comes with lettuce, tomato. It has a Cajun remoulade sauce on it as well.

DSC_1107.jpg

It was pretty good. I am really not a fan of Cajun and just forgot to ask for it on the side to see if I liked it or not. It was still good but I feel like I would have enjoyed it much more without the sauce. Ummm what she said?

Colleen decided to get some Alfredo Pasta and a cookie for dessert…

DSC_1110.jpg

For dessert I had Strawberry Cheesecake. I am really not a fan of cream cheese but I figured the strawberry flavoring and whipped cream would over power it.

DSC_1112.jpg

I was wrong. It was still decent. But I definitely did not like that texture or the taste I kept picking up from the cheese. I finished it though.

Day 5 10/13/2013 Continued…

I wanted to take some pictures of this place. If you are a fan of the larger than life décor or not this place did it right. I really don’t mind it. I don’t hate it or love it but AoA really got it right. Here are the shots I got while there this time…

How can you NOT be fascinated by the Disney World Turtles?

DSC_1133.jpg

After lunch we decided we would just go back and hang out in the room and lay around or watch TV until dinner time. I think we both sort of his a wall and raised a white flag in rushing to the parks. We both knew what was in store for us regarding the crowd levels. I don’t think we ever really got used to it at all.

Well now it is time to go to the bus stop. We have to head over to Magic Kingdom and hop the Monorail to The Polynesian. Anyways before we get there…We are waiting in line and there is a man in his ECV. Bus pulls up. Bus driver lowers the bus, walks to the middle of the bus and lifts a row of seats up, puts his key in and lowers the ramp. All normal so far. Well the man in the ECV then begins to try and get on the ramp and he can’t line it up right. So what does any person in one of these things do? HE COLLECTS THAT ACT OF GOD. The man gets off of his ECV and drags the damned thing onto the bus, into its position, buckles all the straps and sits down in a regular seat.

UN-FREAKING-REAL

Look I realize not everyone in those things is faking, or completely helpless and unable to walk. Some folks just can’t be on their feet for long periods of time. But if you’re in one and you get off of it and drag it up a ramp and onto a bus…that is just bananas and makes you look very suspect. Get off the thing and ask the driver of the bus for help.

Aint The Polynesian awesome?

Day 5 10/13/2013 Continued…

Checking into Kona Café. This is a first time for us. For some reason it is peoples goal to get me to hate Le Cellier Steakhouse and like the restaurants that they like instead. This place is no exception to that “rule”.

I heard so many stories about how the Steak here was better than the steak at Le Cellier. Kind of hard to believe but I am into trying new places and things so at the strongest suggestion from Miss Tom Bricker I booked it for us. Plus any reason to go to The Poly can’t be bad, right?

This is a really cool spot. It’s odd because it’s just out in the open, sort of “fenced” in if you will. But is was very beautiful “inside”.

DSC_1152.jpg

DSC_1153.jpg

We had to wait until they opened to sit down so we went to the bar so Colleen could get a drink. I do not drink so I really did not care. Plus Peyton Manning was on TV so I was watching that. Colleen did not know what to get and she made a comment about it to me for some reason and I was like “Oh I think this place has some pineapple thing with the drink inside of it. Ask about that.” So she did and that ended up being her choice.

DSC_1159.jpg

We then headed over to Kona again because it was time to check in.

DSC_1164.jpg

They brought us out some bread and butter. The butter had nuts in it, which I HATE so I actually spread the butter on and took out the nuts.

DSC_1165.jpg

DSC_1167.jpg

WOW. It was SO good. I probably just could have had that for dinner and been happy. Okay probably not but it was still amazing.

For Colleen’s dinner she had Togarshi Spiced Ahi Tuna…

DSC_1175.jpg

I had The Teriyaki Style New York Strip Steak…

DSC_1177.jpg

DSC_1178.jpg

The steak was good. Not great but good. I really thought I was not going to enjoy the pineapple taste on my steak but it was not that bad. Eating in The Poly definitely added to it though. The atmosphere is just awesome there.
