Laughfloor(original) i found the original version enjoyable even though I never seen a Monsters movie.

Muppets vision I love it and the Muppets but whos Bean Bunny?

There was an original version??

Bean Bunny basically just made subsequent appearances in the movies. That's all I know about him. Bean was relegated to the background and became a routine target of Muppet violence, a fact that Brian Henson noted in the Muppet Christmas Carol DVD commentary: "Inside the Muppet Company, we love to hate Bean Bunny."

The only place I ever remember Bean Bunny was singing carols outside Scrooge's house in "The Muppets Christmas Carol" and also being the one to get the turkey.

BeanBunnySinging.jpg

From what I know, his only major roles were in "The Muppets at Walt Disney World," "Muppet Vision 3D," and apparently he had a part in the old walk-around character shows that were at MGM.

A walk-around version of Bean was also featured in both Muppet stage shows at the Disney-MGM Studios in Walt Disney World: Here Come the Muppets and Muppets on Location: Days of Swine and Roses. It is indicative of the push to make Bean Bunny a major player in the Muppet family that walk-around versions of more popular characters such as Scooter and Rowlfwere not featured in these stage shows.

My daughter and I absolutely love Mickey's Philhar Magic.....not sure it is completely underrated, but I don't ever hear about or see people putting on their must do list, but for the two of us, we could watch it over and over. I have to hold her back so that she doesn't grab the person's head in front of her while reaching for the jewels and such that float out in front of her!

I agree. Philharmagic is probably the most "Disney" attraction in all of WDW. It reminds you of the REAL Disney magic...I get chills during the Peter Pan scene, but it's all so good. A real crowd-pleaser too. Unfortunately, of late the 3D has been out of sync and blurry, a shameful state of affairs. Come on, TDO, show this wonderful little show some love!

Another underrated attraction: Maelstrom. Hardly an E-ticket, but it's lots of fun for what it is. That ascent in that dark tunnel, with Odin's strobing eye, is just amazing. And the little fishing village at the end is so atmospheric. I remember that the first time I rode Maelstrom, I was a little underwhelmed...yet, every time I visit Epcot, I head for that attraction first. It has a genuine eerie Nordic magic. I can't resist it. I hope it survives TDO's cheap- approach to "plussing" (actually, plussing was Walt's style. Iger's is subtracting, and the result of course is a lesser experience for park guests. Sad.)

By original I mean the Monster inc one not the MU One. As I rember the MU version no one laughed in the whole theater when I went during summer of last year.

Thank you... although walk around charecters I would've chosen The Muppet Mobile Lab. And if his onlyajor role is in the park shows then they shouldn't have bothered with him.(no offense to Bean Bunny Fans)

MK: MK Railroad
People Mover
Laugh Floor
Tiki Room
EPCOT: Gran Fiesta
Living with the Land
AK: Rafiki's Planet Watch
DHS: Muppets
Animation Tour

Mine are....
MK: Country Bears, Aladdin's Flying Carpet
Epcot: Impressions de France, Three Caballeros ride at Epcot, Living with the Land
HS: Muppets
AK: both of the forest walks
You know, I love the forest walks and have only gotten to do them once (around when the park first opened) because my family is usually more focused on doing all the "must do" things which is a shame.

So I've been arguing with a bunch of people on these forums about certain under-rated attractions at Disney World and I thought... I'm pretty sure everybody has a favorite under-rated attraction at EPCOT.

Continuing the "unpopular opinions" thread with a different view, what are your favorite under-rated Disney attractions?? By under-rated, I mean simply the attractions that usually receive hate, or barely a positive review (at least from these forums).

NOTE: Please, don't critique other people's opinions. That seems to be a bad habit (including myself) on these forums. For instance... If someone says "I don't see why so-and-so gets so much hate," and then you would choose to type up, "because this attraction was poorly made and blah blah blah.." Nah, don't do that. Opinions are opinions.

Choose up to as many as you'd like. I could be wrong on some attractions. I'm only going off of what is complained about the most on these forums. Whether they're loved a lot or not, these attractions certainly do get complained about a good bit. Also remember, these under-rated rides are completely forum-based. Meaning under-rated on this site, not in the general public.

Also keep in mind, under-rated could also go into the list of being rarely ever talked about, or not very popular from a normal guest's perspective.

I had a list of attractions that I would consider over-rated, but I think people might have been becoming confused and thought they had to choose form the list. An under-rated attraction is whatever you one is. Whether it's complaints that lower the population of the attractions, or overlooked attractions, under-maintained (such as GMR).. Just feel free to express your opinions and let's just hope nobody attacks one another. :p

My personal favs...

Country Bear Jamboree
DSC_3130-M.jpg

Mainly listed as under-rated in my opinion because of all the complaints it gets from a lot of users on here. Not the nostalgia-loving users, of course. Many people consider it boring, or stupid. But I love the humor, I love the characters! And for it being a classic, it's in much better condition than a majority of all other classic attractions (Tiki Room, CoP, ect.). Heck, this is in better condition than some popular attractions. I've always thought that it was in rough shape until I actually compared it to some others. There's a lot of love in this show, and I'm surprised this is the one that looks better than a majority of other classic attractions. With the only exception being audio-levels at times. I love this show, it's funny, entertaining, and one of my all time favorites.

Stitch's Great Escape
2.jpg

Hear me out, hear me out. People over-use the term "horrible" or "really bad" on this attraction. By all means, it's certainly not the best or one of my favorites, but it honestly cannot be considered the worst at all. The first major problem that starts complaints on this ride is the attraction it replaced. Alien Encounter, beloved by everyone, and shut down because it was too scary for kids. Re-opening a newer, tame version with Stitch, everyone immediately was disappointed with the attraction even before it came out, basically. It got a bad reputation for replacing a headliner attraction. Now, I'm not saying it's as good as Alien Encounter by any means. It's STILL not as bad as everyone says though. The AAs are all in WONDERFUL shape. The theming is great, the music is great, honestly even the storyline (though it adds a lot of plot holes leading to the movie) is pretty good. The effects are good within the ride. The problems with the ride? I'd have to say not upgrading the shoulder harnesses so they don't hurt your shoulders coming down, and the chili dog breath. Honestly, that's it. It's a fine attraction that was shut down by the Alien lovers, or the ones that just go along with everyone else's opinions. Now I'm sure some people would STILL hate this ride no matter what it replaced, but for my personal perspective, it's not bad. I've realized that I have actually ridden this ride every single time I've been to MK. And if nobody else wants to ride it, more enjoyment for me!

Ellen's Energy Adventure
5014204200_002c333783.jpg

So. Many. Complaints. About a funny, unique, entertaining ride. (my opinion!) I think this is also an attraction that got hate for the ride it replaced. The original Universe of Energy, while in my opinion, seemed to be very boring, had wonderful unique effects throughout the ride, including the pre-show. When it re-opened as Ellen's Energy adventure, all of the effects were toned down a good bit.... But... I think the storyline is a LOT more interesting and entertaining than the original. Honestly, the two are apples and oranges, appealing to two totally different groups of audiences. I'm just within that audience. Now this attraction is also considered pretty outdated, which, I guess is understandable. With the old telephone Ellen used, even Ellen's appearance in general. Bill Nye himself seems outdated. The Jeapordy game show, well, I saw that it was still airing yesterday on TV and it basically looks exactly the same. But there's hundreds of puns and jokes throughout this attraction with Ellen. Sure, it's 40 minutes long, but honestly, this is probably the best thing you can get if you're going to make a 40 minute ride! Would it still be considered outdated if they just re-filmed the whole ride with updated props and the current versions of the actors? I don't think so! The script for this ride is actually very, very good! Right when the pre-show starts! "Helloooo and welcome to the Universe of Energy.. How are yah? -cough cough- ...no need to answer." My dad bursts out laughing every time he hears that! :) Also the reason why I believe it never has a wait time, is it can take in 1,000 guests PER RIDE. So honestly, a good bit of people actually come to this ride if they were to only take up 2 cars! That's a lot of people. Many people on the forums also consider it boring or a "nap time" and that's fine. But how many times have you ridden this attraction? I personally couldn't believe that the very first time you rode Ellen's ride, you weren't laughing at some of the puns. Unless you're just not the comedic-attraction kind of person. I do think that this is an attraction that in many cases is only worth a 1-trip to. But, it's still very entertaining and fun for those people that do enjoy it for the very first time. Also, there are still a lot of people who enjoy Ellen, and jeapordy (i think). I don't know, I never understood why it got so much hate. I love this ride to death, it's my all time favorite ride at EPCOT, and I would love it if they re-filmed it! :)

..and on that note.. I'm proud of Disney for being very creative. What other company can think of creating a 40 minute ride, with the themes of Ellen Degeneres, Billy Nye the Science Guy, Dinosaurs, the Jeapordy game show, AND being a lesson about energy, all within ONE ATTRACTION? That's CRAZY! :)

Flights of Wonder

AnimalKingdom061.jpg

Probably the most over-looked show ever to exist in any Disney park.. Flights of Wonder, located in Animal Kingdom, is basically a bird show. That's it. It's not memorable, nobody talks about it, and if people know of it they forget about it! Heck, I can't even remember anything about this show! I've seen it 2 or 3 times out of all years I've been.... But what I do remember is that it was entertaining, and I actually enjoyed it. I don't remember why, I have no clue! But I remember loving this show, yet I completely forget about it when I go to the park! It's one of those shows, that's very well put together, but you don't notice it's there, and you forget about it as soon as you leave the show. I really don't know whats up with this, I just remember really enjoying it.
Just as a side note i think this is a great thread. I haven't been to WDW in 3 years, so 2011 was my last trip and on it was the first time we'd eaten in some restaurants that we've never eaten at before and also first time doing a couple attractions (I'd never done Nemo before that year. I don't think I'd done Living with the Land for years before that last trip). Most of the time we're just so focused on doing the 'must do' stuff that we rarely stop to enjoy something that's not typically a big attraction (unless it's something so classic like TTA or CoP because I insist). There's another thread about whether or not Disney ever gets boring and for me it never does simply because there's so much that I haven't done because we tend to overlook them. So long story short, I think this is a great thread for those of us who sometimes need a reminder of the many great things at WDW that don't get the attention they should.

Ohhh! I didn't know they upgraded it to a MU version... That shouldn't even have been considered! Monsters University was a prequel to Monsters Inc. and they discovered laughter creates more AFTER the screams and.. you know what? This is going to go the exact same way I panned out how SGE was a prequel to Lilo & Stitch. So I'm not going to bother.

But yea, that's a shame. "I cannot hear you because my eyes are closed! -.-"

I should've been clearer the MU version basically got rid of all the funny acts and replaced them with worse ones. Luckily when I went a month after tht it was a fair mixture. And it all takes place after still.

These posts are what I'm trying to avoid. How about just some positive posts and opinions about why you agree with somebody else, or why you like the attraction you choose? No complaints, no arguing..

...I call this.. The "wdwmagic" challenge. :D If you disagree with somebody else, just keep it to yourself. This thread is basically unpopular opinions. Not, "your unpopular opinion should be dealt with."
No.

I love riding the Tomorrowland Transit Authority especially at night. Thats probably my top pick for this. Never a line, you get to go through Space Mountain and some other stuff, and its a nice way to sit down and take in some scenery.

I never understand why the entire The Seas with Nemo pavillion gets so much hate. Its a well done, well maintained attraction! Everyone here has sour grapes about the about the old seaport attraction with the trippy elevators. meh... Just because they incorporated characters from an extremely popular franchise it gets pooped on in these forums.

I think its by FAR my favorite pavillion. go figure...

Sum of All Thrills in Epcot is so overlooked, I didn't know about it until I had been at Disney 3 times in a 6 year period. Last trip we went for the first time and I made us ride it 4 times total because I think it is one of the best! You get to design your own rollercoaster and then ride it without it tossing your head around? Yes please!

My most liked under-rated attractions are:

MK: The People Mover, Tiki Room, IASW
Epcot: Grand Fiesta Tour, Maelstrom, the Land, Spaceship earth, the other pavilion movies.
DHS: The Great Movie Ride
AK: A bug's Life

Seriously though, I could ride Grand Fiesta(I really preferred El Rio Del Tiempo even though it was corny) the and Maelstrom all day.

Here's a few more on my list...

Voyage of the Little Mermaid
voyageofthelittlemermaid2012-04-27-35411.jpg

This show has been at DHS for a long while now. So some people here usually think it's time for it to be replaced (along with the much bigger, Beauty & The Beast show). But I love love looooove this show! There are so many effects used! The water thing above the audience, the black-light "under the sea" scene is VERY neat and cool, the ursula puppet looks awesome, heck. This show is just awesome! And the fact that it's on a relatively pretty small stage, that kind of shocks me, because this show appears a lot bigger than it actually is. There is always a pretty long wait for it, but the reason why I would consider it under-rated, is the fact that nobody usually talks about. They're usually like "hey that was pretty cool." and just leave. The show is neat. The effects are cool. The puppetry is awesome. I love this show. :)

Food Rocks
03261994_WDA_TDIDFoodR2.jpg

Let's go back before the days of Soarin', and after the pretty popular days of Kitchen Kabaret to the somewhat lost, in-between days of Food Rocks, in The Land at Epcot. Now, hardly ANYone knew about this show. Like. At all. I went to this show every single trip to Epcot. Literally. EVERY. TIME. We would see it about 4 or 5 times in a row! My dad absolutely loved it. The music being a parody of some rock n' roll, was absolutely hilarious when you listen to how the lyrics were changed to eating healthier. The fact that Bohemian Rhapsody was the show's opening and closing just made it even more perfect to me. It was a GREAT show! GREAT script! GREAT songs! GREAT characters! Soooo, what went wrong? Why did nobody seem to ever come to Food Rocks? It was always basically empty from what I remember in 2003 and 2004. I believe the number one problem with

TTA (love this especially at night)
Ellan's Energy Adventure
CoP is absolutely awesome
Rafiki's Planet Watch is awesome at AK as well :)

I love all of these rides as a break during a long day in the parks and I think they are a lot of fun as well

Another one which never has a long wait but I do not necessarily think is under rated because I think a lot of people like it is Living with the Land :)
