Yeah not so much dead anymore. Given the fact that this same team built TDS color me very enthusiastic. I am a fan of the movie and am looking forward to see what they can add to make AK a full day park. Looking forward to talking to lots of bus drivers and CM's about what really is going to happen when i am down there in a month.:D

I'm not a particularly huge fan of Avatar-the movie. But I do think the Avatar concept has a lot of potential as a theme park experience and I am excited that they are moving forward. I know, I know...." nothing is official until we see steel beams rising", but I feel we at least can agree that some forward movement is happening. This will definitely change the scope and feel of Animal Kingdom.

Me is feeling like the anti-Avatar crowd may just wind up eating crow... I'll be ready to serve it up on a silver platter for them all to enjoy... :)

Some pretty rocks does not make it good expansion, it helps to create a great visual land - so far they are looking for quotes on to build a D and a C ticket attraction a restaurant, shops and restrooms. Where is the headliner attraction - the one that drives attendance?

How do we know it's a D ticket? I can't tell. Looks like a major attraction to me, though.

The one that is being called an E ticket by, I don't know, everyone...

I've always believed that Disney will do what they have to to work with Cameron and make this Avatar thing happen, after putting it out there and seeing what Uni is currently up to. It would not be in their best interest either to cancel another announced project (remember Hyperion Wharf). There is likely a lot a pressure to make this a reality. This announcement leads me to believe that, even though there may be some negotiation/creative issues, it will come to fruition, and sooner rather than later (ie: 2016, not later).
