Ok first let me state that this information obtained over Labor Day while I was at the parks, Im passing on information told to us by various Cast Menmers and Managers. Take it for what its worth.

While at Epcot on 31 August Nikki and I were in line to get our picture with Snow White and a very nice CM whom Nikki was trading pins with struck up a conversation about Disneyland as she was from California interning..about that time a CM manager came up also with pins and jumped in the conversation..telling us that the "Carsland Team" from Disneyland has been at DHS surveying the park....take it for what its worth.

We ate Teppn Eddo for Dinner and swung through the gift shop in Japan..now I cant say when th elast time I walked through the main Japan gift shop but was surprised to see tons of Pokemons, Godzilla, Hello Kitty everywhere, Sailor Moon, and about everything but Micky, Minnie, and the gang. Both Nikki and I thought this was a little peculiar..

England..Im a huge Soccer fan and hit England with esole purpouse to see if they had any Disneyfied Man-U shirts..the "manager" of that store and CM were discussing what the mushrroms in Fantasia were called we politely interuptted to help them answer the questions and Nikki wanted to see their pins. While talking I asked the Manager why no Dr. Who shirts or stuff in general..if Japan can have Little Kitty and Godzillza afterall...He started smiling really big and proceeded to tell us that Dr. Who was indeed coming to Epcot later this month in the form of 4 shirts made for Disnry..on a trial basis..if they sell huge and they expect them too..then more stuff will be added...Im a huge Who fan and I asked him Thats great except Im leaving Monday..how do I get one...answer ....he laughed and said "mate it will hit the Disney Blogs like fire...and you will be able to get them online"...he also proceeded to tell me that the Japan gift shop is NOT operated by Disney..therefore they have complete lattitude as to what is in their shops..he also said..Morrocco I thinlk is also independently run...and that the employees hired in those shops are not Disney CMs...I found that interesting.

( The following day at DHS while in line for Toy Story a rather large man was wearing a Dr Who Shirt..I commented to him that I liked the shirt and that we had been told the night before that Epcot woulkd have 4 Dr Who shirts soon...HE smiled really big and said "yes..I know..my wife is in charge of Marketing in the England pavillion..and has been lobbying for a year to get that deal done" Nikki and I both laughed as "Its a small world" came to mind..this guy detailed the shirts to us..and also stated that it will be blogged as they hit the shelves!

Last news from Animal Kingdom yesterday..when I went to get my locker the CM noticed my ACU backpack and my ID card and thanked me for my service..she went on to tell me about her son who is an Air Mashall...she asked about our trip and we told her we were flying that night back to home...she told us to make sure to see the Festival of the Lion King because it wont be there our next trip as thats were construction of Avatarland is set to begin early next year.

PS

Cant wait for a DR Who shirt!

It has been this way for as long as I can remember as it is not a Disney owned store. It is my understanding that the store is operated by Mitsukoshi, Ltd.

Yup, and it's why you can't use Disney gift cards or get your Passholder merchandise discount at Japan (or Morocco for that matter.) The discount is only good for Disney-owned stores.

Yoda knows this, but for others...Mitsukoshi is major retailer in Japan. Their Tokyo store in the Ginza district is a huge department store that carries (seemingly) everything. So they know how to run a store and know where to get merchandise that is truly popular in Japan. Which, I think, is why I always like the stuff in that store.

I love the place as well. I actually made a special trip there back in 1998/1999 to buy a set of dishes for my dining room.

All that has to happen now is for Epcot to add a Doctor Who attraction in the UK Pavilion! Sort of a trip with the Doctor, in the TARDIS... a 4D theater-with-effects type show, maybe? The entrance to the attraction could be the police box... after all, it is bigger on the inside!

The Mrs. and I were just talking about that the other day. Doctor Who is absolutely huge right now, and with Disney going "outside" to acquire properties to turn into attractions, this seems like a no brainer.

I'd much rather spent some time in the TARDIS than Pandora...

I agree. Dr. Who has 40+ years of staying power. I don't think you will see Avatar have that kind of staying power. JMO though.

If this is true, and the timing is actually "later this month", I will have to start setting aside funds, because there will be no way to talk my husband out of wanting to buy all four shirts.

If that is the case I would block these web sites from your computer. :)

Today is a rather slow day as only 1 has a Dr. Who shirt. It is not uncommon to see 3 or 4 Dr Who shirts pop up on any given day.

I also have a good share of DW tees from a few of those sites, but if the shirts coming to the UK pavilion are unique to Disney, then... my interest goes way up. If they are "standard" DW shirts made by the BBC that one can get from a place like ThinkGeek... well, then move along.
