I have the Dooney & Bourke Mickey Mouse Buttons crossbody & absolutely love it! I wear it every day and the color still looks great. Actually asking for another crossbody pattern for Christmas because I'm so pleased with it.

By darken, do you mean with hand oils?
I have had the small wristlet version of this with the same color strap for over 3 years. Although I've only used it < 10 times, the strap has picked up some marks which I assume came from my hands. (Darn human hands! LOL) In time I'm sure they'll get darker.
I still love it though.
